On a cold mid March evening we found this restaurant open and welcoming at 7.30 p.m. whereas the others in town chose to stick to the Spanish late open opening times. We had a warming vegetable soup and a hearty leg of lamb with a nice bottle of red wine, for a very modest price. A pleasant and fulfilling dinner.

By mid-afternoon in winter it gets pretty chilly in these parts. This restaurant is an ideal and welcome antidote. We ate there a couple of times in December 2016. The restaurant is located upstairs in a building off the main square. The atmosphere was great - an open fire, friendly and quick service and excellent food. Especially recommended is the local... Whilst certainly not haute cuisine, this was good country, home cooking. We (2) both had the menu del día, three courses (one being dessert) priced at 11 euros. (yes 11 Euros). Everything was decent, good food, pleasantly served. In fact my starter of spinach, egg and cheese was delicious. We had 6 bottles of Cruz Campo, (Yeah I know, but... More

NIce small restaurant tucked away down an alley. Go find it and enjoy the same sort of menu you will find elswhere but with small differences that make the food really interesting. The sauces and food combinations are quite unexpected for this area and for us made for a great meal. Service and price were equally good.

Ideal fro both vegetarians, meat and fish eaters alike. Food is well priced and great value for money. Location is central and seating is outside or inside, with a good atmosphere. After your meal you get a complimentary bottle of strong fruit/apple drink, with has a lovely after taste and a great way to end the meal.

Tucked away in a back street near to the main square you'll find this duper little restaurant. By far the most imaginative menu del dia we found in the area and an absolute steal at under 11 Euros per head. We chose tuna with roast peppers and a spinach and cheese revuelto for starters - good sized portions, well presented... More

In a mountain restaurant I go for the meat and having asked the waiter for his tip he went straight for the roast lamb with rich deep Ronda wine - both superb . A warm evening for outside dining and people turned away at the Spanish eating hour ( ten pm ) . As it got busy service disappeared but... More

We went to El Torreon for a meal in the evening, but were able to order from the menu of the day. Excellent food and service, and the atmosphere outside was enjoyable. Would recommend as lovely food and great value for money, we will be returning again before we leave the area

Had lunch here and 4 of us opted for the menu del dia and were massively impressed. Good portions, good selection and excellent quality for a reasonable price-under 11 euros for 3 courses. Restaurant was full mid week lunchtime and I now know why. Drinks were reasonably priced akin to the local bars. Well worth a visit

So glad we found this small restaurant. The menu had lots of local dishes to choose from. The mushroom, thistle and garlic salad was superb. They also introduced us to some wonderful local wines. Good service and good food.
