We walked into Hal's to a jam packed bar and were immediately escorted to our table. The restaurant is hugely popular for people of all ages. You will primarily be joined by many older and middle aged people as well as young sexy dressers in...More

This was our 3rd visit...shrimp remoulade and grilled oysters still great...filet was very good but not outstanding (for the price)....I tried the lobster bisque and while it was pretty good, it was not the creamy bisque base I am used to...it was in a thinnish...More

Amazing blackened fillet, good Merlot, average espresso but a great evening! Food was excellent, tender meat, tasty, friendly staff and fun, if noisy, vibe.

Dined here, on a recent trip to Atlanta for a football game . The loudness of the upper and lower rooms made it impossible to talk even to someone seated next to you. Escargot average, shrimp romelade not good. Shrimp very small. The bread brought...More

Big fan of this place and apparently everyone in ATL is as well! Great crowd on a Tuesday night which is always a good sign. The Filet Mignon was amongst the best cut of meat I've had, cooked perfectly at Medium Rare. Mashed Potatoes were...More

We went for the Steaks! Our Waiter, "Bobby" recommended the Hal's Ribeye 20 oz. It was perfect! I also enjoyed the Shrimp Remoulade appetizer, sautéed mushrooms, sautéed onions and the Pasta Asciutta (angel hair pasta dish). Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. Bobby was attentive...More

Three of us, professional associates, went here to mix good food and wine with serious business talk. The former was aplenty, the latter was squelched in the most inhospitable restaurant atmosphere - loud, loud, loud! We were seated upstairs, passed through the downstairs area, and...More

I don't eat steak, but my boyfriend does and he loved the steak he had here! Service was excellent! We didn't feel pressure to order lots of wine or anything (he doesn't drink and I had only one glass)! I ordered that chicken and it...More

First of all, people are reviewing the background noise in this restaurant, so I'll start by saying it's not that bad. If you want a romantic dinner where you get lost in each others words and stares, probably won't happen here. But if you love...More

There is a piano bar that is piped through the restaurant, so if you're looking for quiet, this ain't the place. They do have an excellent wine list and the steak was perfectly prepared and terrific. The trout was ok. Service was impressive.

I guess you would say it is business casual. I don't think you have to have a jacket for men but most men did. It was a younger well to do Buckhead crowd in their normal attire.
