Gone to this cute southern restaurant in the past. Was very quite and authentic per my southern friends. This time with a small group of 6 was not as good as before. Tried the fried chicken dinner; chicken was good but potatoes were lumpy and...More

Restaurant was 2 blocks from the American Hotel where we were staying. Many restaurants were closed due to the snowy conditions but this one was open with full staff. Food was great and so was the service. We would go again if ever back in...More

Everyone was very friendly when we arrived and the service certainly was polite. However, everything about this place is tired and dusty. The menus are old and curled. The drinks are extraordinarily expensive and in fact we paid almost $100 for a very plain and...More

Really good southern cooking, soul food, comfort food ... whatever you want to call it. When everything else is packed because people want quick burgers, wings, pizza, etc... this is a nice alternative. The food and service was excellent. Fried chicken was amazing!

What a letdown. I had heard about this landmark for years. I had reviewed the menu and was excited about trying the deliciously described dishes. Our party was seated upstairs which is actually street level. There is a lot of memorabilia from “Gone with the...More

This restaurant in downtown Atlanta offers homestyle cooking and southern hospitality. The fried chicken and the BBQ ribs were excellent. That rocking chairs, porch, and farmhouse interior make a charming atmosphere. There are very few vegetarian and gluten-free options.

The food is southern and very good. We basically ordered a bunch of plates for the table then shared so everyone got a little taste. The side salads are enough for a meal! Loved each one, especially the chicken salad. Service was slow and sloppy....More

Description
Downtown Atlanta's Oldest Southern Dining restaurant since 1967. We are a "Gone With the Wind" themed restaurant, a place where the characters presence are felt from the menu to the overall decor to the memorabilia on the walls. We have created a menu of Southern classics that have been enjoyed by groups large and small from the moment we opened our doors. Dishes such as, Aunt Pittypat's Fried Chicken, 12 Oaks BBQ Ribs, Georgia Catfish, just to name a few. Our menu also includes delicious appetizers and tempting desserts made fresh in our bakery daily. We have a full bar, plus draft beer by local breweries and a Specialty Drink menu to wet your whistle. So come on by and let us show you our Southern Hospitality!
