Go early, or expect food to be a bit stale. Had oxtails and they were inedible. Without the Collards and fish the score would be less.

So we are in town right; from southern Florida. We are more than running away from Zika and Floridian beach issues. We actually want to enjoy some soul food from a good place nearby my old 'stomping grounds' on the Eastside of Atlanta. My my my was I satisfied. Ms Esther, treated us with some good ole southern comfort customer... More

Although this one is smaller, it still have the delicious meals as the other Big Daddy's. I like this one even more because they don't serve pork. My wife ordered the turkey wings (in gravy) and 2 sides. I ordered the beef tips & rice, with 2 sides. You won't go hungry leaving this place. There's a sit down area... More

Last April I flew to Atlanta, GA for an event taking place at Tuskegee University. I was looking for a buffet style restaurant in close proximity to the Atlanta Airport and was pleased to discover Big Daddy's Cafe. I had a hard time deciding what to order since everything looked absolutely scrumptious. I finally decided to order the jerk turkey... More

I drove all the way from Covington GA. Ordered an oxtail plate and two turkey wing plates. I gave one turkey wing plate to my mother and my family shared the other portion. I saved the oxtail for lunch. The next day my entire family had the runs and stomach pain. I felt so bad my mother who is a... More

It's difficult to find a Southern cooking/soul food restaurant with high quality food. I've had lots of recommendations, and I usually leave disappointed. Big Daddy's serves amazing food. The Mac and Cheese is ridiculously good - so cheesy. I've also had their collared greens, baked chicken (anyone would love this baked chicken), fried chicken (also great), black eyed peas, cornbread,... More

Had Mac and cheese so delectable, but could tell different pans made by different cooks. Meats on hot tray barely room temp..they will microwaveitfor u though. Cakes expensive and not very good...tried 3 different ones. Dressing was great and yams too.

No, literally!!! I ate so much and still had a ton to bring home. The sweet tea could not be replicated!! We went twice during our stay in College Park, GA and both times we enjoyed the food and the staff. You can't go wrong!

When you look at the building it looks old and shabby. And the interior inside is outdated. But the food and the workers were good. Great and fast service as well.
