My husband and I stopped here for lunch. I got the chicken and waffle. The waitress served us biscuits and cornbread with a homemade jam sauce that was tasty. The entree was good as well. We ended up sitting outside and the breeze was really nice during the hottest part of the day. I would go back.

From the soup/salad to the shrimp and grits, the food was amazing! Our server was also very attentive and we never were looking for her or needed her and she wasn't around. If I'm ever in ATL again, I will be going back!

We went here for a Sunday brunch, something we can only do occasionally because of my husband's work schedule. We had reservations and were there by 9:30, I believe. We were seated upstairs at a tiny 2 person table. I had no place for my clutch wallet (we were seated next to the railing and could see downstairs) so I... More

Looking for somewhere with a good vibe, excellent food and service, then this ticks the boxes. I would recommend the cheese and biscuits starter

Delightfully interesting and delicious menu in a charming atmosphere! My husband and I, along with our daughter and son-in-law, all enjoyed our meals. Service was fantastic - attentive always, but never intrusive. Prices reasonable for excellent quality of food.

Very unique menu. A bit pricey by our normal standards at $35, but was Mother's day. But all three of our meals were very good and cooked how we ordered. Wait was not to bad and they had enough staff to cover the crowd. I don't know if the regular menu is more reasonably priced. Didn't give a 5 because... More

Excellent fried chicken. Green tomatoes with goat cheese were ok. Fantastic brisket sandwich. Chicken & waffles only available for brunch. Friendly staff and a interesting wine menu.

We visited here after it was recommended by family. The service was very good but the up-selling was so full on that I felt a bit uncomfortable. I felt mislead when we chose a selection of starters to share as a taste but what they actually brought out was portions that would serve 4 people (4-5 different dishes for a... More

We returned to Atlanta for a visit and made plans to go back to South City Kitchen for brunch. This was one of our highlights our first visit and it was equally as good this time. Their fried chicken and waffles are the best. This chicken is unbelievable. We also tried the biscuits and gravy and the crab cake benedict.... More

We arrived and waited for ten minutes while three hostesses-servers checked in the group ahead of us. The place is very noisy. The food is good. Drinks are expensive. Our bill for 4 was $240. Server was excellent. You have to shout to talk at your table.

Celebrating over 18 year as one of Atlanta's favorite restaurants, South City Kitchen Midtown specializes in contemporary Southern cuisine with a sophisticated twist. Combining the energy of Atlanta with the warmth of a Southern home, the restaurant is nestled in an updated, historic bungalow on the city's famous Crescent Avenue. Dine on local Southern favorites such as shrimp and grits, buttermilk fried chicken, she-crab soup, fried green tomatoes and banana pudding while enjoying the view of our exhibition kitchen or the city skyline on one of the best patios in the city. This truly is dining the way the new South intended.
