Good hearty food to fill empty bellies after a 25km walk; the rabbit with almond stew was super tasty, and the service spot on

Hard to find it and parking is even worse. View from second floor is great. Waiter does not speak a word in English. Starter fish and orange was interesting. Lamb was good and Lazania great. 40€

Both meat and fish weze delicious, in a very pleasantw atmosphere. We sat on the first floor overlooking the valley. Although it is in the upper part of the village, it is worth the detour. Parking nearby.

This cute restaurant offers a menu of simple, wholesome and very tasty local (ish) dishes. All of our group of 8 enjoyed our dinners. I had the trout, for the main and the gazpacho to start, both of which I'd defintely recommend.

What a happy couple we were on arrival here after a long wet walk. The floor was heated which was perfect to dry clothes. We were pleased with the tea and coffee making facilities, which were the only ones in the 6 hotels we visited on our trip. The bath was really huge so lovely to relax in with the... More

We stayed in the hostal of the same name, just around the corner. After a very long day up in the mountains this was the nearest place to eat before we collapsed in bed. At first sight, you might be excused for thinking that the bar area is all that there is to this restaurant, however, upstairs you'll find a... More

Small but immaculate restaurant, delicious food made with often modest, rural ingredients - e.g. rabbit with garlic. The best of true country cooking. Almost too much choice. Seems to be a family run place - sorry we only went once! A highlight amongst places to eat in las alpujarras. Well worth a visit and good value with wonderful views from... More

Delicious country food in a rustic inn at the top of the village. Popular with locals and tourist hikers alike. We went three times and they kept up the high standard. Grilled meats particularly good!

I went to Meson La Fragua twice during my stay in Trevelez, and you can find several good choices on the menu. I can recommend the grilled pork meat known as the Iberian secret. Extremely tasty and juicy. The prices are quite fair, both the dishes and the wine. A bottle of red house wine is about 8 euros.

Had a lovely relaxing lunch here, service was very friendly and helpful. If you can, eat upstairs where there is a view right down the hills. The windows open fully if you wish on a hot day. Much recommended.
