The place is famous with its wide choice of mushrooms. We enjoyed the salad, mushroom plate and the rabo de torro. Everything was tasty.

They offer a menu of the times of Mio Cid (Tenth century) , basically avoiding any vegetable or food that came from America. It is worth the try, you may like it or not but ..... In general it is an Ok restaturant, not sophisticated but good honest spanish food and friendly service.

Small and cute restaurant with a good selection of mushroom dishes and original medieval tapas. Nice staff.

A lovely bar in the historic part of Siguenza. Features a variety of wonderful and unusual tapas. Site of a tavern for hundreds of years. The bar has a super atmosphere and the staff are friendly and helpful-what more could one ask for? Five stars!!!

This is a cozy, friendly restaurant in the heart of this historic town. Bright and lively artwork adorn the walls, ad the atmosphere is cheerful. The food is very good, with a really good starter (fish in a wrap with an orange sauce) and a good venison ragu with rice as a main. A glass of Duero washed it down... More

We spent our last overnight of our European tour in Sigüenza, we found the the Hotel to be comfortable and central, although they had no bar or restaurant you were only a stones throw from many superb eating and drinking establishments. We ate at a friendly fantastic Tavern The Gurugu de la Plazuela up near the castle, very freindly with... More

Accidentally stumbled across this tiny restaurant and it was delightful. Food was different from usual Spanish fare, with a medieval theme. We had local mushrooms for starters and slow cooked deer ragu as the main. It was delicious. As a bonus the proprietress spoke English and was able to tell me which dishes were coeliac friendly (gluten free). So nice... More

This is such a special place! Whether you live in NYC, London, or Madrid, this small, cozy restaurant / bar is a culinary oasis. Here is what I would recommend: 1. Deer stew 2. Quail wings in a creamy mushroom sauce 3. Oxtail stew 4. Ribera del duero house red wine The owner and the bartender are really friendly, attentive,... More

The Delicia del Juglar is a must. Its a thin little pancake made of nothing but egg whites stuffed with trout, fish eggs, and about 15 other magic ingredients. I'd go back to Siguenza just to eat another one.

This is the place to go in Siguenza if you enjoy eating wild mushrooms; there is a whole menu of different varieties (even including a licence to serve the rarely available Amanita Caesaria). Gurugu is a small and cosy tapas style restaurant, tucked away from the main streets in the attractive little Plazuela del Carcel, with outdoor tables in the... More
