REALLY.... Generous portions and rice was very good but the worst tacos I have ever had. Wasn't even a store bought hard shell but something they fried up that was even worse. Shredded beef was tasteless, old maybe, bad. McDonald's would have been a better choice for a quick lunch driving thru to CA. The decor, well, HIDEOUS, creepy and... More

We stopped by for lunch on our way to Las Vegas. Agreed, the decor did not look like a Mexican restaurant, but the chicken fajitas were the best we've ever had! They did not have a lunch fajita on the menu so my husband and I shared the dinner fajita, which was plenteous and reasonably priced. The restaurant used red... More

We stopped on the way to palm springs. The food was ok, bit the deco was a lot to be desired. It felt like walking into a taxedermy shop. Yikes! All those faces stating at you, we should have gone over to have pizza.

I can eat Mexican food anytime of day so this mid morning pit stop quelled my hunger with a combo plate that was good and served quickly. Good location right off the freeway. Ice cold beer too, what more can you ask for on a long road trip?

A friend recommended this place as somewhere they stop at whenever they are traveling through Barstow. It's an easy access of the freeway. The food was excellent. I got to talking to the women with two children and her mom in the booth next to mine. They really enjoyed their order and I enjoyed the fajitas I had as well.... More

Looks can be deceiving when you drive by Casa Jimenez. It looks a little worn on the outside, but if you are in the mood for authentic Mexican food, make sure to stop. The interior is not for everyone, especially those who object to game hunting, the decor is souvenirs of the owner's hobby. The food is authentic and delicious.... More

Not that I'm complaining, cause it was pretty tasty and huge ! But nine dollars was a little steep for 1 shot of tequila. Moving on, the food was amazing, fresh, quick, hot and the portions huge like the Margaita's. Our waitress was very nice and tentive. I was a little thrown back when I first walked in at all... So, end of the week and needed some good Mexican food and drinks. Heard that Lola's wasn't so good so we googled and came up with Casa Jimenez. We were Pleasantly surprised. Inside is pretty cool with all the different stuffed animals. The service was outstanding and our waitress was cute too. They had an all you can eat deal... More

We dined at this restaurant so much over the course of four years, we were treated like family. Very large portions. Food is always fresh and hot. Something different about this food. Family owned. If you like to hunt, stop by and check out this display of hunted animals. Largest Variety and Larges sized animals ever seen in a restaurant.... More

This is a place to eat. So eat. Margaritas are big and will do the job. I had the chicken fajitas - lots of food and pretty good. I would honestly say that it's not spectacular but it's not bad. A good place To go with a large group.
