We have been there on several special occasions. The food and the wine pairings are spectacular. We order both a la carte and the tasting menu. The food is nouveau American at it's best. It is hard to mention a favorite dish, even more so since the menu changes regularly. It is expensive but it is also place you are... More

I was really looking forward to finally getting to Volt. It has been on my list to try for a few years. Wife surprised me with a weekend away for my birthday. Positives... The staff was great and the menu format was fun. The food plating in well done. We had the 10 course tasting menu. Negatives...my wife had wine... More

Okay, so this place is expensive, don't go here if that's an issue. My sister and I did the chef's table. You get 25 courses, sit at the bar, and observe an open kitchen. It was pretty cool. Chef was hitting a lot of different flavors. Sister did the vegetarian and I did the meat. I was happy that they... More

What can you say about this establishment other than it is a mesmerizing experience when my wife and I come here! We brought some very good friends to partake in this gastronomic fest this time and boy were we in gluttonous heaven! It runs like a non-stop cooking machine with food surgeons making precision cuts on everything and putting out... More

We had brunch and it was our first time eating at Volt. The service was impeccable and the food amazing. We started with drinks, which were beautiful enough to admire. Then, we ordered from the prix fix menu--one starter, one main, and one dessert. They offered two types of bread and I couldn't resist the cheese and chive biscuits. Everything... More

We have been looking forward to our dinner at Bryan Voltaggio’s Volt in Frederick Maryland for many months and finally we were able to get a table when we were in town. We were seated in the Chef’s Dining Room but right next to the door. There were other tables empty and we assumed they were reserved so we did... More

Volt is not just a restaurant, is a culinary experience. We had a 16 course meal at the chef's table with wine pairings. The food was out of this world as well as the service. Super recommended for a special occasion.

The food is exquisite and the dining experience is truly first class. However if you measure a restaurant by portion size you will be unhappy with Volt....but if you want to experience different tastes that will make you smile and your taste buds jump with joy, then you WILL enjoy Volt. The service is first class and an excellent experience... More

I went for a date and had a great experience. It's a fantastic atmosphere with top notch service and incredible food. They get the little details right and that makes all the difference. As a young person, my date and I probably spent less than anyone else ever has there, but we still felt welcome. Definitely would recommend.

My fiancé and I are here last Friday night at the last minute. The space is lovely and our table by the window was nice. Some of the dishes were excellent and others disappointing. All were tiny. My fiancée's soup consisted of three tablespoons of liquid. The butternut squash macaroon with foie gras filling was great. Goat cheese ravioli was... More

VOLT offers guests a menu of modern American cuisine. The focus of our cuisine is based on classic flavor combinations, creating sophisticated dishes that emphasize purity and seasonal flavors that are based on fundamental and innovative cooking techniques. VOLT's relationship with local artisan farmers ensures availability of products to fulfill the philosophy behind the menu, in a refined, historic venue where classic meets modern. By design, the restaurant follows along the original footprint of the mansions first floor parlors. Both the 38 seat main dining room and the bar/lounge open off the foyer. The original mosaic tile in the foyer was the inspiration behind the warm monochromatic color palette that adorns the finishes in VOLT. Private dining can be hosted in the conservatory offering views of the expansive courtyard. The 700 square foot kitchen afforded space to include up to 20 guests.
