My dear friend and I booked table 21. She and I had both waited for a long time to try this restaurant. The good: The restaurant is beautiful. The staff was exceptional. The service exceptional. The cost for a glass of wine at the bar...wicked....More

I frankly didn't expect this restaurant to live up to the hype, but I was wowed. We have experienced excellent multi-star restaurants all over the world, but this one topped just about all. We dined a la carte, ordering and sharing seven items, plus baked...More

I took my girlfriend to Volt for a late lunch on Saturday. In order to try the most possible dishes she got the tasting menu and I ordered a three-course meal, so we shared a total of eight dishes. All were interesting and several outstanding....More

Recently dined at Volt with family for a special occasion, and it was great. There are two choices for dining -- a fixed tasting menu or a la carte. Either way you're getting several courses of small plates. My first course was the only disappointment....More

The whole impression from the beginning was very different from what you would expect in Frederick Maryland. It was definitely an up market modern atmosphere somewhat what you would expect from a up market Parisian restaurant. The service and attention throughout the evening was first...More

We had reserved a table for Christmas Eve for a family dinner. In short, in my opinion the service (with the exception of our primary waiter) was extremely poor, and the food was sub-standard. Things didn't start great. Our drink order (a bottle of wine...More

Great service and nice atmosphere, but the food is underwhelming! You pay for artistry not food and it is very expensive. The best part of the meal was the French press coffee. If you want good tapas portioned food, go down the street to Isabella's!

You get 21 courses at this table, which wraps around the kitchen. You need to book in advance since it is popular. I believe it holds up to eight around the kitchen windows and a few more 4 person tables in the kitchen area... More

You can find the menu on the website but I believe they do change from time to time, depending on what is in season or available as fresh. It's worth the visit!

VOLT offers guests a menu of modern American cuisine. The focus of our cuisine is based on classic flavor combinations, creating sophisticated dishes that emphasize purity and seasonal flavors that are based on fundamental and innovative cooking techniques. VOLT's relationship with local artisan farmers ensures availability of products to fulfill the philosophy behind the menu, in a refined, historic venue where classic meets modern. By design, the restaurant follows along the original footprint of the mansions first floor parlors. Both the 38 seat main dining room and the bar/lounge open off the foyer. The original mosaic tile in the foyer was the inspiration behind the warm monochromatic color palette that adorns the finishes in VOLT. Private dining can be hosted in the conservatory offering views of the expansive courtyard. The 700 square foot kitchen afforded space to include up to 20 guests.
