There was a rave about this place from people around town. Unfortunately, I don't agree, with the "Authentic Mexican food" claim they have. Pros: the food was filling, tasty, and of good sized portions. Their to go lunch menu looks to be a great value for $4.99. Cons: it tastes more like Tex-Mex than "authentic" Mexican food. I had the... More

Not bad, not outstanding. Is a popular place for a lunch or early dinner. Service is fast and the place is busy. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall, a hole in the wall place. The cooks are Spanish speaking, if that means authentic, and the menu items are in English and Spanish. There are three sauces in... More

This place has AMAZING authentic Mexican food. Prices are reasonable and you get a ton of food. And it's delicious. The service was pretty good too. Only complaint was that the salsa is in squeeze bottles on the table and chips and salsa got messy fast. Onions and tomatoes would also get stuck in the spout. BUT we asked for... More

Delicious homemade chips, salsa, and queso. All 6 of us enjoyed our meals. Great food, and nice presentation. We enjoyed the wide variety of flavors of Mexican soda- Strawberry, grapefruit, mango, green apple, etc. The restaurant was very busy at 7pm on a Tuesday night. The waitstaff were patient, hard working and attentive. The only drawback is the seating is... More

We all liked our food at Cafe Bueno! Shrimp fajitas were very good, the 3 or 4 salsas are spicy & flavorful and DH liked his beef & chorizo burrito. No booze here! Sodas only. The location is a bit shady - liquor store, 7-11 and a laundromat in the same strip mall. You have to get a key for... More

Looking for a fast and tasty meal and Cafe Bueno did not disappoint. We ordered fish tacos and chicken tacos- both were delivered hot and had good flavor. We will go back!

Clean, small and colorful, the food here is fresh and delicious. Not your typical Mexican-American food. Service was very good and quick for such packed place. Food selection was great. We ordered Texan Fajitas (shrimp, steak, chicken, peppers), their chips and avocado salsa (they charge for these but totally worth the $2.99) and a fish/shrimp soup with cilantro/onion topping. Portions... More

Located on East street next to a 7-eleven. This place has really good authentic Mexican food. My favorites are the Mexican-style steak tacos and pulled chicken enchiladas. The weekly specials always have something great, such as shrimp tostadas and carnitas (which you can get on tacos or in burritos and enchiladas). The high quality of food at their low price... More

Cafe Bueno is a very casual restaurant with personal family style service and excellent, fresh food. The tortas are killer and all food is fresh and made with love. Good for families on a budget. The tres leche is the best in Frederick. Great stop if you want a quick meal or take out.

This was a new place to eat but all I heard was how good it was. So, we went today. It is very small, so we had to wait a bit for a table for 3. About 10-15 mins, we were seated. Service was immediate, very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. We started with guacamole and chips. Wonderful...fresh and... More

Description
Cafe Bueno is located at the intersection of East and 5th Streets. We are located in the same center as 7-11, about 3 blocks north of Shab Row. There is plenty of free parking in our large front lot.Cafe Bueno serves authentic Mexican food, and yes, we are the real deal! We have ten different kinds of tacos! A few highlights are our hand-breaded fish tacos, topped with radishes, cabbage, and served with cilantro salsa on the side, or tacos al pastor, which is a combination of spicy marinated pork and pineapple, served on a soft corn tortilla and topped with onions, cilantro, and fresh lime. Our salsa verde and salsa roja hot sauces are freshly made in-house of genuine Mexican ingredients, including tomatillos, jalapenos, guajillo chiles and chile de arbol. Our meats are all hand-cut, marinaded to perfection, and served on tacos or on a massive torta sandwich. The infamous torta cubana is not to be missed - a combination of steak, spicy pork, ham, hot dog, egg, lettuce, tomato, mayo, onion, jalapeno, and avocado. We serve Mexican breakfasts all day, including huevos rancheros, huevos con chorizo (our chorizo is made fresh in-house, of course!) And we serve all the American classics, like eggs, homefries, pancakes, and french toast, until 11am. We also have daily specials showcasing other authentic Mexican dishes, such as sopes, huaraches, carne asada, chile rellenos, mole enchiladas, carnitas, and much more!
