Probably a good idea to book if you’re thinking of visiting here. We went on a Thursday and could only get a table outside, within 20 minutes all the other remaining tables were also taken, with the waiter then turning down walk ins. The waiter...was okay, not that friendly, not rude, he gave the bare minimum. When the food came the carbonara was over cooked and egg scrambled. I would’ve expected better considering all the positive reviews, the pizza however was lovely. We were asked if we wanted dessert when we said no the bill swiftly arrived. It’s clear they don’t want you sitting around taking up tables when they have people waiting but I like to enjoy my dinner and not feel rushed or unwanted.More

The food is amazing. The chef came out of the kitchen to ask all the customers how their meal was. I have not seen this done before in Spain. The front of house waiters are superb and very knowledgeable on wines and choice. We know...the two waiters from a wine bar / restaurant we had been going to for years and they have always been very helpful and friendly. I have eaten and ordered food at Vecchia Roma many times. So far the food and treatment has been excellent. Unfortunately, this week I ordered a Pizza Lazio which was absolutely not eatable because of being far too spicy (note that I love spicy food...and put Tabasco on almost everything). When sharing feedback the answer is that that the “problem is mine and that they can’t do anything for me”; I was not expecting anything except a kind reflective reply which in my view would have made Roma even greater. What a shame!More

We were lucky enough to get a table here at short notice on a Saturday evening. We had the sharing starter of meats and cheeses which was beautifully presented and quite delicious, with several different types of meats and cheeses. The main course of.lasagne was...also delicious, and we finished with coffee and a glass of home made limoncello. Staff were very attentive, nothing was rushed, and the chef came out to talk to all the diners individually, many of whom were regulars. We'll definitely go back again - everything looked good and I'm looking forward to trying more dishes soon.More

We ate here because of the great reviews. The place looks very nice. Is busy and waiters are quick and friendly. Our main courses, Pizza and Spinach Ravioli were not that great however. Ravioli looks good and swims in nice sauce. But content very salty....Pizza was totally tasteless. We added koriander but to no avail. Maybe we were just unlucky. Definitely we were disappointed.More

Great food for a very good price. Staff are friendly. Book to get a table as it's nearly always full. We had pasta's that were so very tasty and the small version of dessert was a good addition. The homemade limoncello was delicious.

This is a really great Italian restaurant that serves home made gluten free food as well as the normal fare. Food excellent as is the service. Personally the best gluten free pizza I've had. Note that they now also open from 12:00 to 16:00 (which...is when we went) despite other notices that they only open in the evening.More
