We stayed here years ago, and so after a morning of hiking my dad wanted to see if we could get lunch here. We saw there was a prefix meal for the 4th, with the only option we were really into being the baby back...ribs. $19 was pricey for lunch, but we were excited about the ambience and reliving old memories. It all went downhill from there. It took us over 20 minutes to get seated, despite numerous tables open and multiple staff passing by us. Eventually someone from the front desk sat us at a table that had been open the entire time. When the waitress came by, we tried to order the ribs but were informed they had sold out, so our options was a $19 burger or hot dog. We all opted for the burger, which came with black beans and pasta salad. For $19 I would have expected some sort of deluxe burger, but it ended up being a thin single patty with lettuce and tomato served on a paper plate with plastic utensils. It was edible but by no means good. Do yourself a favor and grab lunch outside at the grab and go shop. Views are better, and from what it looked like the food was also.More

Menu was good and varied. Food tasty and beautiful (especially the salads!) Service was fantastic! (Thanks Rhyan-also you and my son do have friends in common!) We ate in the lodge two nights and loved it. Check days they are open-they aren’t open 7 days...as of June 16 and only serve hotel guests.More

We were able to get on the list for dinner at the lodge and it was a great family memory making experience. The hostess was actually from Alabama and is attending UAB in Birmingham where we live. Rhyan provided excellent service and had great local...travel info to share for our road trip. The food is not cheap but you are paying for the experience, remember that. I tried the venison stew. A hearty delicious meal. My wife and daughters enjoyed their meals as well. Too stuffed to even think about dessert.More

Food was decent, but not to the level of what they charge. Service was good, however slow. The seating area was nice.

The service was good and everyone very nice, but the food was just not very good and way overpriced. However, food choices inside the park are limited, so you're pretty much stuck with this place for dinner if you're staying there.

So the dining room is the traditional big wood beamed, logging camp length area. A few of the right tables can see the mountain, weather and daylight permitting. The menu has good variety at traditional (high) national park prices. Service hit or miss depending on...the wait staff. Serves all three meals. Breakfast buffet is expansive, with something for everybody. There is an alternative in the visitor center, where we got pizza and sandwiches one evening.More

The service was excellent! They had some great items on the menu. It is an upscale place at a reasonable price.
