This is a "homey" diner. Many locals and regulars seem to dine there. Not sure why because of the quality of the food we were served. The food generally was overcooked. The chicken fried "meat" was way overdone--very dry, tough and tasteless. Even the homemade potato chips were almost burnt. No wonder we had too wait a long, long time... More

We had a great visit three years ago but, on this visit, it was clear things have changed at Peggy's. We visited on a weekday morning - early and before heading out of town. We were barely greeted upon walking in and there were only three other tables being occupied with couples. Between the three of us, we ordered a... More

We stopped for early lunch, late breakfast. They were out of most of the breakfast items. I had the hamburger soup, it was bland. The biscuits and gravy were not good and the hot beef sandwich my Mom had was gross. We took it and tried to feed it to the dog and he would not eat it. Sorry but... More

I wish I could say more than ok. but it was only ok. I ordered the fried chicken (dark meat) and the size of what was on the plate looked like wings. It was ridiculous. I would have been embarrassed to serve it. they ended up frying another thigh, but the pieces were so small there wasn't any meat and... More

We stopped here for an impromptu breakfast/brunch on our trip to Rushmore. It was good diner food in the middle of the touristy part of Keystone.

Went in for a quick breakfast before heading out of town. I found the breakfast to be satisfactory. Had the usual eggs, hashbrown, sausage type of breakfast. The portions seemed small and I could have used a bit more food. In all it was nothing special but was nothing bad either.

We had breakfast. Good hot food, larger portions (particularly the pancakes), nummy biscuits, friendly service.
