Spent over 2 weeks touring Nova Scotia, this place was by far the best place we ate. Super friendly staff, superb location (managed to catch the sun going down by the water, in between courses). If the weather permits, try and get a table out back in the garden, just perfect.

A late lunch was served in a timely manner. Their Club Sandwich was an 8 out of 10 on my scale. The fries were crisp and tastefully seasoned. The atmosphere was interesting and the street side view was ok. Value was about an average rating.

Beautiful patio setting for lunch with view of the river. The BEST lobster rolls. Did not spend the night but would definitely do so given the chance.

A nice location on the Mersey, with good food, the service is good but a little slow. A nice spot and worth a visit.

Met some friends for dinner on Friday night. It was Lane's Curry night so my husband and I both decided to have the Curry special. The dish was delicious. Not too hot but with the right amount of spice. For dessert we decided on the lemon cheesecake with a shortbread crust. Talk about good, it was absolutely delicious! I was... More

We were forced to change our travel plans at the last minute over the Christmas period so were very pleased when Lane's had space for us for their Christmas Day meal during a busy period. We were not disappointed. We arrived early and had time to browse the attached shop which is well worth a visit in its own right... More

Their Menu is a seafood lovers affair. Located in the centre of Liverpool next to the River front. We were staying at the Best Western close to the highway and it only took 5-10 mins to get there however they do have rooms upstairs & it is an inn. The ambiance is great, romantic if you are a couple and... More

Thank you for your kind review, Patti. We appreciate that you dined with us and yes, we have 23 individually appointed rooms and suites. We are sorry about the lack of greeting when you arrived. We have several dining areas and in the winter, we have less staff. Sometimes they are in another section when guests arrive. We will be... More

Lane's has always been top notch in all respects, and we had not been for about a year as it is out of town for us. So, we were looking forward to it, and had booked ahead - and early before a popular show in town as advised on the phone. We were told it would be busy, but the... More

Oh my. This is the kind of reveiw that restaurateurs dread, however, we appreciate that you have taken the time to express your concerns. We were, indeed, busy on this particular evening and we were properly staffed. Your server made a grave error by not submitting your order to the kitchen and then made things worse by not informing you... More
