I visited Monkeypod in late August with my spouse and children. It was our third visit - this is one of our favourite restaurants in Wailea. It's a very busy place, so we always make reservations and even then we sometimes have had to wait 5-10 minutes to be seated. It's a fun atmosphere, with lots of people, live music... More

Thinking about the wonderful experience at the Monkeypod Kitchen makes my mouth water. We sat outdoors (9) of us and that night we had a tropical rain storm, but that just added to the fun. The food was good, and the service was good. Next time I'm in Maui I will be sure to visit Monkeypod again.

Searching Maui for the perfect "chi chi" found it here! Seems like most places forgot how to make this delicious coconut drink found in Hawaii. Don't be fooled by other bar tenders who will serve you a "pina colada" and pass it off as a "chi chi". Enough said!! Monkey pod will serve you a wonderful " chi chi" and... More

A restaurant with a social conscience! The craft cocktails were tasty. The fresh catch of the day was great. Would also recommend the Ahi steak with jalapeño mashed potatoes. The patio was great with awesome views! Request patio seating and you won't be disappointed!

Had read rave reviews and had this a a definite visit for lunch on a driving day. Great decor, lots of space, lovely seating - and then it went downhill from there. We were seated straight away - and then nothing. Other people were taken to tables, given iced water and menus. Still nothing. The groups that had arrived after... More

Come for the honey-lilkoi foam Mai Tai... stay for some great seafood. I started with a trio of sushi goodness... ahi (tuna) poke, tako (octopus) poke, and local snapper poke... followed by a chef's seafood special that was out of this world. Ended with one of my faves... banana cream pie (excuse the bite ;))...

Took the family to dinner here as a break from the resort. The food was spot on although very busy on a Tuesday night. We probably waited about 35 minutes around 6pm. Holy recommend reservations if you want to check it out. All of our food was very tasty and the drinks were good as well.
