The food is not bad, but the value does not match. Appetizers were clams in coconut milk, which was delicious. I asked for extra bread to dip, and they didn't give the toasted baguette that came with the dish, they gave cold dinner rolls which...was odd. The wagyu appetizer was really good. We split the ribeye steak for 2. No bone. It was cooked properly and was large, but very fatty and oddly shape. It fell short for the quality of a 115$ steak. The dessert was ok, but their take on a banana's foster fell short. It was banana puree with peanut crumble, and the caramel was solid decorative pieces. Nothing at all you picture when a menu says banana foster. I asked for an Irish coffee, but they gave me black coffee with Jameson. The waiter said there is no whipped cream. Idk how a bill can be almost 300$, but the restaurant can't make whipped cream. The breakfast in the morning is good, buffet style.More

This was by far our favorite dinner during our 4 night vacay to Maui. We liked ordering family style and sharing many dishes amongst our table of 4. Every dish was tasty, flavorful, had nice presentation. In addition, the service was superb even during Covid...times. I look forward to my next visit to this excellent restaurant!More

We walked over to the Andaz and had dinner at the restaurant. The food was good, very well prepared. It was on the pricey side, but we kind of knew that going in.

Very good overall. The fried chicken was okay but nothing special, however, the corn bread was really good. My husband and son split the ribeye and said it was fantastic. My daughter had the tuna and that was also fantastic. The clams appetizer was absolutely...delicious as was the mixed greens salad. The octopus starter was really good. The desserts were good - vanilla ice cream and strawberry cake, but the coconut ice cream sundae won the dessert category. The chocolate ice cream was not good because it tasted like a coconut milk base which I am not a fan of. There was a luau on the beach which was nice in the background but did create quite a chaotic scene when we all needed our cars from the valet at the same time. Our server Tia was the best. She was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. She knew what she was doing. Ask for a table outside to catch the sunset.More

We stayed at the Andaz and ate here twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast. Although the service and ambience are excellent, and the food was quite good, we were disappointed with the limited dinner menu options, and the pricey $50/per person breakfast buffet.

We decided to give the Ka’ana Kitchen a try based on a few good recommendations from friends. The restaurant is down a flight of stairs and located one level up from the bar so we were treated to live music throughout our meal. The menu...is structured like a Tapas style restaurant so they encourage you to share dished but unlike some other places we found the portions to be more palatable. We found the waitstaff and the sommelier to be extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. We shared the Wagyu Hanger, Watermelon salad, Waipoli Mixed greens, Buttermilk Chicken and Risotto, that may sound like a lot of food but it wasn’t overwhelming or overpowering, nicely prepared and presented. The wine selection was impressive and so was the sommeliers selections. If time permits you need to go one flight of stairs down and catch the band playing.More

Was here in June,2021 . Still obligated to wear masks indoors. Food was fresh, but I thought a limited menu. I had the octopus salad which was delicious. Ka'ana kitchen as well as other finer eats had very expensive drinks. Staff was attentive and I...didn't feel rushed. Would go again with an expanded menu. What they do now is done well, but expensive.More

We had extremely pricey drinks and appetizers here. The appetizers (grilled octopus, scallops and tuna with barrata) were very delicious but 3 cocktails, a soda, a kids meal and 3 appetizers were more than $250.

The menus were disappointing here. First the wine list had nothing in a Cabernet Sauvignon less that $109. So we opted for a 2013 Remelluri Rioja Reserva for $80. It was okay, not great. Then the menu was very limited. Everyone has different tastes but...it was hard to find something that sounded appetizing. In the end we shared a hanger steak appetizer that was good. Then I had the strip loin and my wife had the daily catch. Both were okay but again not great. I would not recommend this restaurant.More

The price was the same (waaaay overpriced in my opinion). We had a little one as well and they just gave us a plate and we took from ours to give to her.

Yes. You just have to wind up the stairs from the beach past the pools to the restaurant.
