I was in town with 2 coworkers and the hotel staff suggested that we try this place and I am so glad we listened. Our server Joel took great care of us from the time we were seated. He made great suggestions on appetizes, wine and entrees. The best thing I had was this potato appetizer thing, They called it... More

Great food, everything we tried tasted great. I had the stroganoff and my friend had the lamb Riblets. We also ordered the charcuterie board to start. Overall a good place to eat

Last minute decision and didn't think we'd get in as this place is busy. But we did and pleased we could. Ceasar salad with a scallop entry rang all the bells and checked all the flavor boxes. And add Great service.

My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday night. We had a late reservation for 9:30 but on a whim decided to see if we could get an earlier time and were fortunate to get a seat around 7:45. The restaurant was full the entire time we were there which made the excellent service from our server really impressive.... More

We had lunch and went back for dinner another night. The food is good, side dishes were excellent and thoroughly enjoyed both meals there. The service was also excellent and attentive.

The food is great. I like the fact that they don't do the run-of-the-mill recipes. They always seem to do something unique, which provides for a great dining experience each time. The prices can be a tad high sometimes, so it's not somewhere I go frequently. But it is definitely worth it at least on occasion. Highly recommended.

Description
The Copper Onion is one of the new additions to the growing Utah foodie scene. Former NYC chef (and native Utahan) Ryan Lowder now brings his personal take on New American cuisine to his own kitchen with an approach inspired by his passion for Utah’s outstanding farmstead ingredients and his experience as a chef cooking his way through Barcelona, NYC and South America. The Copper Onion serves a wide array of vegetable side dishes and a menu designed to explore and share, with plates such as Ricotta dumplings with lemon, sage and brown butter and Braised Pork Belly with shaved Brussels sprouts and pickled celeriac. Entrees include Fresh house-made papparedelle with lamb ragout and Duck Confit with butternut squash and roasted mushroom caps. An insistent focus on the freshest and best is paramount; sausages and burgers are ground daily, bread is baked and ice cream is made in house, offering casual diners an exceptional experience at affordable prices.
