The prime rib is SOLID. Cooked the way you like it. The baked potatos, salad, and other side dishes are done well like you'd expect from a steakhouse, easily surpassing LongHorn or Outback. They even have salted peanuts at the front while you wait...(they also bring some to your table). Seriously, the only drawback is the loud music. It's one... More

Family dinner at Ruby River. What a really pleasant experience and located pretty close to the U. Great selection of steaks and all prepared the way we ordered them. Nice selection of sides to choose from and our server (Kortnie) was fun, energetic, and professional. Love the bucket of peanuts on the table and the manager personally thanked us for... More

Bread was perfect! Filet mignon wrapped in bacon was even better! A little spicy for me though. Asparagus was fresh and yummy and the baked sweet potato with marshmallow and cinnamon is a must try as well. Nice place! Mike, who was our server was very funny! I would recommend this place

I wish I could give better. Average may even be generous. Steaks are not cooked on grill but a fry top. Not a tasty way to cook steaks ever. Equivalent of cooking in a fry pan. Very disappointing. Also the service was slow and amateur. Nice staff but not a place I would visit again for a meal. For steak... More

We had our company Christmas party here and had a great experience. Appetizers and drinks were very good, and the steaks were spot on. The servers were also very attentive and fun. I was impressed across the board.

This is the first restaurant my husband has been to where he was given an actual gluten-free menu instead of a half sheet of paper with a few offerings on it. He has Celiac, so gluten-free eating isn't optional. He appreciated that they brought him gluten-free toast with raspberry butter, so he could enjoy some bread, instead of watching me... More

We reserved a table for 6 and had a nice meal and long visit with friends. This was on a Thursday before going to a show at Kingsburry Hall at the U of U. We were quickly seated and served. My wife and I split the stake and chicken combo with two sides. I took the steak and huge sweet... More

We tried Ruby River again for the first time in years. We very much enjoyed our meal and the nice clean restaurant. Food was good, hot and presented in a timely fashion.

Off the beaten path with a feeling like your in the old west dinner houses. Go for the ribeye. Lots of flavor and s great cut of meat. The baked potato had a nice twist. Would eat there again.
