Hadn't been here in a couple of years. We heard the restaurant had new ownership and wasn't as good as it used to be but some friends wanted to go so we went. The menu has been changed and there were lots of good options. My wife had the tomato basil soup and I had lamb chops. Both were very... More

The food was very tasteless and the meat in the beef stroganoff tasted old. My husband had the lamb shank which was super tender but lacked flavor. Probably the worst food i had in years.

This is an older venue. When I was there they were out of exactly what I came for, the 'Famous Lamb Shank'. That's a big negative... especially considering we were early for dinner. They also could not make my favorite drink... limited bar capability. I got the rack of lamb, ordered medium rare and they served it medium... also a... More

Grabbed breakfast here one morning and really enjoyed it. We ordered a few plates, eggs and biscuits and gravy, corned beef hash, stuffed french toast and eggs benedict. All the food was good, but honestly it is hard to screw up breakfast. The corned beef hash was really fresh and very well made and I really enjoyed it. All the... More

So we heard about Lamb’s diner being the oldest continually operating restaurant in Utah…or something like that. Typically this means that a place is quaint and interesting but maybe a bit stale and old-fashioned. Lamb’s is all that, but they still turn out a pretty good meal. They do serve cocktails, but you have to ask for the drink list.... More

It was recommended as a terrific American-style breakfast place, but, to quote one of my kids, "it really sucks." Being conscious of the fact that this is a place where people make their living cooking, serving, or cleaning up, I'd much rather point out the positives than call attention to the negatives. However, there's not much I can spotlight as... More

Had the seafood pasta. The shrimp was over cooked beyond edible and there were no scallops. Service was unbearably slow. Won't give the place another try.

I like many of the outdated classic touches that some have complained about. But as much as I enjoyed the vibe (minus the 70s 80s music), the food (I had the "famous" lamb shank) won't live long in the memory. Also, if it matters to you, they lost their liquor license as of this writing.

***UPDATE*** 10/23/16 Lambs has a new owner now and they have changed things up there. They lost their liquor license for the time being so no drinks can be served. New darker paint on the walls that make the place seem darker than before. George Washington was no longer on the wall either, but I was told George will be... More
