Title says it all. 6 different molés and each one better than the last. this place is packed at all hours, and rightfully so. So bring a book and get in line, it's worth it.

Not pretty. Unimpressive from the outside. Hectic, noisy, busy, and crowded inside. Who cares? Order damn near anything you want and be prepared for a uniquely satisfying Mexican Food experience. I suggest one of the Mole or Gourmet Burritos, but frankly, if something else appeals to you, go for it. You may want to ask the servers about any special... More

We arrived in Salt Lake City and checked into our hotel around 1:00. The hotel had suggested some restaurants close by , but none sounded good so we took out on our own . Not far from where we were staying we found the Red Iguana (we later saw that they had several location). There were six of us and... More

It's been a couple years since I've been there, but this place could only have gotten better. I've never been to Mexico, but this is perhaps the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. VERY popular, so come early and be prepared to wait. They weren't taking reservations when I was there - maybe they do now.

This place is in Utah? Often a common response I get when I take friends here. Coming from Austin this is always a stop, especially when I bring my Texas friends. I start by saying the 'best Mexican food I've ever had is in Utah'. Texans are not fond of that statement, but quickly start agreeing once they eat here.... More

So I have only tried this place2 times both for lunch take out, (not sure I would even want to be in this part of town after dark). I wouldn’t say that it was bad but wouldn’t say it was God’s gift in a tortilla either. To me it’s just a regular Mexican joint. I have been told that I... More

The food was amazing. The salsa starts it. The salsa acts like it is going to get really hot in your mouth and then it doesn't. I don't know how they do that. The guacamole is fabulous. I had the fish tacos. They were very good. My co worker had the PUNTAS DE FILETE A LA NORTEÑA. It was amazing.... More

We had dinner at the Red Iguana Friday night and it was so memorable I had to write a review. It was very special Mexican food. There were over six varieties of mole, and our waiter brought a sample plate for us to try them all. There were specific regional dishes on the menu that I have not seen in... More

On our way to Yellowstone, we stopped at the Red Iguana for lunch, based on Trip Advisor listings and reviews. NOT disappointed. Though, as we approached, we were initially concerned about the area. Not to worry. Best Mexican food ever!!! Great service, clean surroundings! Delightful atmosphere!! Stop if you're going through Salt Lake City.

It was good....but wish it was a bit more authentic. Would definitely go back though. The salsa is terrific.
