Without a doubt the best and most authentic sushi in SLC. Having lived on the West Coast for most of my life I have had eaten at some of the premier sushi places in this country and Takashi certainly ranks right up in that rank. My party had omakase and we were absolutely delighted with the items we were served.

I love Takashi. I'm a vegetarian, but Japanese food is still some of my favorite. They have a great selection of veggie rolls and my husband loves all of the fish sushi. The only downside is you often have to wait for a table!

Went here for dinner and was really really surprised at how good the sushi was (considering it was in the desert). Don't get me wrong this was no LA fine sushi experience but it was really good. The salmon, toro, uni, yellow tail were all fresh and very flavorful, even the salmon roe (not always a popular item and can... More

Busy but worth the wait, high quality sushi and other Japanese inspired dishes. Will come back the next time I'm in town.

I hate to be a food snob but when it comes to Sushi maybe living in LA just has my expectations too high. The food was all ok, but nothing wowed me. Service was very good but the ambiance of the place was again just ok.

... and it's lasted a while, from what I've been told. But how long are people willing to wait, sometimes up to an hour, and put up with less than stellar service, no matter how good the restaurant is? We went on a Wednesday night around 8pm, and were told that it would be 50 minutes to an hour wait;... More

I didn't expect they have such awesome Sushi restaurant in SLC. Everything we had was superb...sweet shrimps, giant clam, sable fish, oysters and a seasonal special ( I can't remember the name). I would come back to SLC for this place!

This restaurant was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was festive even on a Monday night. The service was quick and the price was reasonable. Recommend!

Excellent, very fresh sushi and nigiri and shashimi. Nice atmosphere. They do not take reservations so if you are going on the weekend (Fri or Sat night), go early. You may wait up to 90 minutes to get seated.
