When you're traveling, you're always on the lookout for that little place that isn't fancy or pretentious and feels like you've been going there forever. Look no further than Cecilia's. It's got great food. New Mexican fare for lunch and breakfast. Favorites like carne adobada that you can eat in burritos, with huevos rancheros any day of the week. (Most... More

The title says it all. I couldn't help but see a google or TA review about the hype, etc, blah blah blah. I am just stoked there is a 17 year old NM Cafe serving it up Red or Green walking distance from the Hotel Blue and our night of debauchery at my least favorite local venue to see Testament,... I thought the food here was OK. Very average. They seem to be basking in reviews from famous people that probably stopped here once to be cool. Again, it's OK if you're in the area, but I would not go out of my way to eat here. Service also pretty slow.

After arriving in Albuquerque from LA, I usually drive to Old Town for a bite before heading up to Santa Fe. But the traffic on Central was horrible so I checked out the rental car's brochure on places to eat in downtown. Glad I checked because that brought me to Cecilia's. Clean & small, I got in just before their... More

I have been to Cecilia's multiple times and it is great every time. The atmosphere is very homey, the wait staff is very authentic New Mexican, I feel like they are my aunties or cousins, lol! Have tried both breakfast and lunch, both are great! Parking is on the street so make sure to have change for the meters.

A fun, old-time looking place with a nice owner. Mostly New Mexican style. In late morning on a weekday it was not crowded at all - I'm guessing it's more crowded at lunch.

I visited Cecilia's around noon on two different days and had the same efficient waitress who remembered my name each time. I got a bowl of green chile with beans the first time (after first asking for samples and tasting the red and the green) with two flour tortillas. It was a satisfying, simple meal. The green is without meat,... More

3rd time to this place. Small, simple neighborhood cafe, parking not easy on week days but totally worth it. Ample portions. Food is typical New Mexican, delicious fresh, non greasy. Service is prompt and very personable.

Went here on a tip from the rental car agent. Good call, the blue corn pancakes were awesome and the fresh bacon was tasty. Cecilia herself took our order and knowing that everything was fresh never frozen made it taste even better. Don't miss this hole in the wall on 6th St.

The plates were not greasy & not salty so that was a plus! I was not a fan off the thick grain Spanish rice...it was more on the Anglo side in my opinion but I'm from LA...The flour tortillas were nice and fluffy and homemade. The Service was excellent!
