Exceptional!! One of the very best Afternoon Tea experiences I have ever had (and I have had quite a few from tiny tea rooms to upscale hotels). We were traveling to the area, and beginning with the reservation process where my questions & concerns were promptly addressed, to the gracious greeting upon our arrival the experience was perfect. My friend... More

I have frequented the St. James countless times, there is no place like it in Albuquerque and I will forever be a return customer. Every month they change the theme and menu, and every month they never fail to dazzle. Every visit is pure magic and I am enchanted each time without fail. Many memories have been made here for... I started going to the St. James tea room back when I moved here in 2010. It is by far one of my favorite places here in Albuquerque. I have been to several different tea houses in different states through the years and this is still my favorite. Starting with the atmosphere, it truly makes you feel like you have... More

We finally went to the new location of St James Tearoom and it was lovely. 17 seating areas , each curtained off for privacy. We had three different teas and the food was delicious . Savories, sweets, scones all fabulous . I really enjoyed it. Multiple seating on weekends , we did the 1:30 seating and at 8 pm I... More

Private tea rooms as well as a Library where you and your friends can enter a world separated from the pressures of life. You feel that you have been transported to England in the 1910's and that you are the Lady of the mansion. Service, food, atmosphere and the gift shop are impeccable. Highly recommended experience when in Albuquerque!!

This is a beautiful tea, but here are my issues: - $50 cancelation fee without 48 hour notice was not communicated at time of reservation. Read this later in the confirmation email. -18% service charge automatically added to the bill regardless of the service and not communicated on the website. No motivation for the wait staff to come by or... More

Thank you Tina, for your review. It sounds like there was a lot you did not understand about the rather unique way we do business, and that this was the real reason for the review. I'm glad for the opportunity to explain. 1. "Strange Cell Phone Policy" - if asking people to put away their "distraction engines" so they can... More

Always a tea with my daughter during my once per year visit to Abq. Impeccable service, good and interesting food and tea and relaxing and well appointed nooks to enjoy it in.

A special Mother's Day high tea shared with my daughter who lives in Albuquerque. I live in Australia and can honestly say I have never come across any high tea or decor that was delivered by The St. James Tearoom. The staff, settings, private booths, the Tea Shop are absolutely amazing. Our treats were matched perfectly with tea chosen by... More

Five of us calling ourselves The Golden Girls were celebrating the same year we were born. We spent a couple of hours in our own private themed room to which birthday touches had been added. The staff was friendly and fun. The food was excellent. Sometimes the tearoom has special dress up events.
