Good service, interesting menu, good food. There are white tablecloths and the silverware is substantial, i.e., it doesn't bend (a frequent complaint of my husband's). The menu has some imagination to it and several specials were offered. A bit pricey for lunch, but definitely worth...More

I came for lunch and had a veggie soup and blue cheese salad. It was a quiet place to relax and the white tablecloths made for a classy meal without the huge bill. I really liked the emphasis on quality over quantity of food, but...More

I stopped here for lunch. Not sure what everyone is raving about. The staff were nice but service was slow. I had the steamed artichoke which was bland and the dipping sauces were disappointing. The aioli was essentially mayo with some capers and the raspberry...More

We enjoyed well-prepared, interesting food and wines--a good selection of veggie options and vegetable-centric dishes with a southwest twist. Setting is very nice and bustling mid-evening on a weeknight. No delay in service; we were shown to a table w/o a reservation and served promptly....More

very fun and upscale restaurant. Seems to be the happening place! Very popular with locals. Food was delicious! Prices a bit high but food and drinks are well worth it!

The Artichoke has been serving interesting and well-prepared dishes for many years on Central Avenue at Edith. It is an institution in the EDO (East Downtown) area of Albuquerque in its historic, brick building. A group of us had just enjoyed a historical talk at...More

We've eaten here about ten times in the last 5 years and have never been disappointed. The house pinot noir by the glass was very enjoyable; but in my opinion the trout was a bit overseasoned; a fresh wild-caught trout doesn't need much seasoning, it...More

I've been to Artichoke cafe a few times and I've had great experiences there. It can be a little pricey for what is served, but still worth the price. Highly suggest the artichoke for an appetizer.

This was our first dining experience at Artichoke Cafe. I can't say anything is wrong per se, however, it was an underwhelming birthday dinner, and I can't say I would return. The menu was trendy, expensive, and the entrees we ordered were good, but spartan....More

The Artichoke Cafe was reopened in 1989 by Pat and Terry Keene. Pat, who was formally trained in New York City, is executive chef and Terry has 30 years experience in restaurant management. Their dedication to the best in food, wine, and service has made this 120 seat restaurant one of Albuquerque's finest dining spots.

Its downtown location on Route 66 in the Historic Huning Highland/EDO District, cozy modern decor and rotating art exhibits add panache and charm to its ambience. The food is a mix of French, Italian, and creative American, using only the finest ingredients.
