A great family style restaurant. In addition to traditional menu items, they offer a dinner menu for 2 or more family members. Each offering begins with soup and appetizers followed by the main course. We were seated immediately and had the best sweet and sour chicken and chow mein ever.

Been going to this joint for years. Consistent and always fresh. Traditional Chinese, not fusion Asian style. Never had a bad meal. Been going for at least 15 years!

I've eaten Chinese on both coasts and in mainland China, so I'm pretty knowledgeable about Chinese cooking and am not exaggerating when I give East Ocean five stars! Their lunch menu is large and varied, and when you ask for medium or hot spicy, you aren't disappointed. One of my favorite dishes is Mongolian beef; I've ordered it at many... More

Many great entrees are not on the menu, you must ask for them. One is beef with chinese brocolli. Excellent flavor. Their roast pork fried rice is the best in ABQ. Been going here for 20 years, closest I have come to Manhattan chinese. Sea bass looks great but need four people. Always oriental folks eating here in the evening.

Been going there for over 10 years. Food is very good, portions are huge, always need a go box, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices. Bathrooms clean, would take anyone there or recommend them without hesitation. What else can I say...LOL.

My husband and I hadn't been to this restaurant in some time (about two years) mostly due to distance as we live on the west side. The other reason that we stopped going is that they USED TO CHARGE EXTRA FOR RICE. Come on now... really? That seems ridiculous. That seems to have been remedied as they now have a... More

My family has been going to this restaurant for more than 15 years. Our favorites are the beef clay pot, seafood and bean curd soup, pan fried noodle, potsticker, duck, salt and pepper shrimp and the deep fried flounder. Very delicious. Excellent food, comparable or even better than other Chinese restaurants in the big cities Chinatown such as San Francisco,... More

Ok, well its been awhile since my last restaurant review. Again i look at details and know details that 99.9% of regular guest wouldn't know or see. My reviews are based on what i expect from the establishment. East Ocean did catch me off guard. When i walk into any asian restaurant i always look for the Green "Health Inspection"... More

Went there with a couple colleagues. They had a special menu that went 2/12/15 through 2/28/15 just for the Chinese New Year. We got there around 6:30pm and it was quite busy! Had to wait for a table for about 30 minutes. The service was at an ok-pace - they told me that it is a family-run establishment. We were... More

We have eaten here before and it is always good. We discovered the main cook is always in the kitchen, making sure the quality is maintained. We have Chinese relatives and they love it, too, so that's a good measure.
