Padilla's has long been our favorite place to eat in Albuquerque. Nothing fancy, no credit cards, but excellent authentic Mexican food. My favorite is the #9, relleno, enchilada, beans & rice. My wife (and I) also think the carne adovada is always super lean. Oh ya and the best sopapillas anywhere!

My Family and I have been eating at this family owned and operated business for over 30 years. The food is traditional New Mexican, like your Grandmother is in their kitchen. The carne adovada is so good and the sopapillas are the best bar none I have ever had. Here's to another few generations sharing this tradition.

The menu at this locally popular family owned restaurant has been underscored by their commitment to FRESH!! No canned beans here, and the bowl of red or green chili with beans is so delicious. It is SOUTHWEST SOUL FOOD at its finest. The staff are friendly and there is almost always a race to the door to get in line.... More

This restaurant is located in a strip mall and could easily be missed. The food is authentic and of the highest quality. Service is excellent. A word of caution...don't wait until noon...a long line formed while we were eating. This is a "don't miss" if you love Mexican food!

We've been searching for a new place to satisfy our red sauce cravings after our favorite in Santa Fe had to close (sob!). Padilla's filled the bill with great red sauce, and a delicious green sauce too. They made a humble cheese enchilada a mouth and soul delight. My husband's carne adovada burrito was everything good -- good meat, good... More

There's nothing fancy here...just great authentic Mexican food prepared the way your grandma would make it (assuming she was Mexican). They have dishes that you don't often see like Carne Adovada and delicious Sopaipillas, both of which I highly recommend. Add the red and green sauces and an ice cold Tecate and you're all set! The service is fast and... More

...and keep this place a secret. It's not fancy but you'll love the vibe of the folk there. No bar, no frills but you absolutely cannot beat the food. Why they haven't franchised I don't know. I went "Christmas" on the chili's and suggest you consider taking a quart of each home. It's really unbeatable. It's fast in and out.... More

I've always teased my nieces from Texas that they didn't know what real New Mexican food was but boy did they surprise me !! They took me to Padillas Mexican Kitchen and I've been hooked ever since! Best food in town. I've lived in and around Albuquerque. since 1962 so that's saying something! Going there for Enchiladas today!
