Good food, good service, very lacking in atmosphere. It was at least 85 in the dining room with no a/c, no open windows and inadequate ventilation and cooling by the ceiling fans. Truly a miserable dining experience.

What a great meal. But seriously what made everything was the service we received. Christina was the best waitress we have had in a long long time; and we travel everywhere. The beer was cold, drinks were spot on and the ambiance was king. We...More

Came her in 2015 and loved it. Second trip was no different except this time we brought friends. Pan seared trout is the real deal here. Devils On Horseback appetizer is the absolute bomb! Great salads. Bread and served honey butter is excellent. Good bartending...More

I wasn't planning on writing a review since it wasn't anything special, but after the experience at the end and being a former waitress myself I had to say something. We went there with two other couples while on vacation. I ordered a mountain mule,...More

This restaurant is within walking distance from our campground. We liked the log cabin look on the outside and when we entered, it was like a rustic mountain retreat. They even had a live musician that didn’t overpower conversation. I ordered the vegetarian bowl and...More

The staff there hustles, within a minute of being seated our server was taking drink orders, highly recommended the Cajun shrimp to start, food portions will fill you up. Good food and great service, going to go back.

It was a little warm inside (no a/c?) and the music was loud. Nice waiter but our order had some glitches that were fixed. We had filet mignon and new york strip. They were good. The bread pudding was delish!!

We were really disappointed in all the culinary choices in EP. All expensive, low quality fare that caters to tourists with nowhere else to go. We went here on our last day and wish we found this place sooner. Great menu choices and quality for...More

Although we have eaten at the Rock Inn many, many times, I have never seen a group of 20 accommodated. You see, the Rock Inn is basically one very large room and an outdoor patio. The largest group I've seen is probably... More

Open 7 days a week at 4pm Sunday Mornings we are serving Brunch from 10am to 2pm Built in 1937as a dance hall for the Big Band Era, The Rock continues to be a lively gathering place with local flair. In the winter, our two wood-burning stoves keep the room toasty for folks stopping in for a beer or a bite after playing in Rocky Mountain National Park. During the summer season we enjoy stunning continental divide views from our outdoor dining patio. Our menu is an ever evolving blend of hand-crafted, hearty comfort food with a health and planet conscious twist. We aim to fill you up with goodness so you can get back to enjoying the mountains again tomorrow. We feature Certified Angus Beef, All-Natural Colorado chicken, fresh salads, whole grains, organic teas and coffees, local beers, sustainably produced wines, and a full bar. On Many Fridays after dinner, we set-up one of many original Colorado bands on our 76 year old stage, clear the dance floor and boogie all night. Some of the bands playing these days include Chain Station, James and the Devil, Old Town Pickers, The Sweet Lillies, Stringboard Theory, Cadillac Grip Funk, KC Groves, and many more. During the summer time, acoustic music acts play most other nights of the week, sunday nights are a mellower feeling as we host acoustic Colorado songwriters during dinner. You might catch Jon Pickett, Alex Thoele, Sarah Caton, Jay Roemer, Billy Shaddox, Jay Stott, or Terry Kishiyama and Ash Ganley. We also offer a great open bluegrass pick on Thursday nights lead by a few talented local musicians, either joining in on the pick or just sitting back and enjoying the bluegrass, tuesdays are a funny night of music. We look forward to having you join us. Reservations are not accepted, however if you want to give us a call, when you are on your way we will be happy to get a table ready for you or put you on the list. During the off-season there is rarely a wait. In July, August, and September it is best to get here before 6.
