I've eaten at most of the Indian restaurants in this state (that's not saying much, I know) and Taste of India continues to be my favorite. I frequent the lunch buffet several times a month with my family and have yet to try a dish I haven't been pleased with. Great curries, excellent nan, and pakoras that are just the... More

This little indian restaurant is a family favorite. It can be crowded with college students but is worth a visit. The menu is authentic, dishes are tasty and smells coming from the kitchen are wonderful. The staff is attentive and very enthusiastic about ensuring your visit is the best it can be. REcommended.

Taste of India is a small restaurant and you can easily miss it but if you would like to try well prepared, authentic Indian food in Providence this is the place to go. They have a lunch buffet that gives you different choices of to try. The food is very delicious but there are just several options in the buffet.... More

A weekend lunch in Providence. Easy meeting spot convenient to I-95. Interior was a bit dark for a bright afternoon, and as others have mentioned, it could use a bit of sprucing up. But service was welcoming and prompt. The meals were freshly prepared and delicious. A brilliant mix of flavors that come alive in your mouth.

We settled here after going to 4 other places with 1 hr. or longer wait times. We were not dissapointed. The inside could use a refresh but the service and food was great. The breads were tasty. I had a chicken kabob special and it was good.

This is the the BEST Indian restaurant in Rhode Island! Food is cooked to perfection and the nan is incredible. It actually tastes oven baked and not toasted or microwaved. Taste of India has the best condiments to accompany the awesome food - the mint chutney is my absolute favorite. You can try other Indian restaurants throughout the state, and... More

I have been to many different Indian restaurants all around New England and this is my absolute favorite. They are consistently good. The restaurant is tiny, but the food is outstanding. They also give you very good portions, I can usually eat half and save the rest for lunch the next day, which is just as good!

My wife and I went to Taste of India on a reasonably quite Saturday afternoon during the summer. If you know Wickenden Street, then you know how it gets during college season and city events. The restaurant is one of those small and comfortable places with mismatched tables. My dinner of lamb and curry was fine, the way I prefer,... More

Stopped in for the lunch buffet during my trip and was pretty disappointed. The price you pay is just not worth it. The food itself is ok, but the selection is really limited. If I remember correctly, it was only two chicken dishes and 4 vegetable ones. When I think buffet, I tend to think good value eating and this... More

The service was great and very helpful. Food was tasty but not a lot of spice which I hoped for. Will definitely go back.
