This place has a wonderful patio with a cool water feature inhabited by some cute little red-eared slider turtles. The food was really fresh and tasted great. Highly recommend as a place to relax with friends and enjoy a drink from the bar.

Nice evening in the courtyard enjoying the warm night air, live music, and good food. This is a busy place, so you can expect to wait a bit for a table, but for us it was worth it. They put our name on a list...More
I ate at La Cocina on my 2nd day in Tucson where I came leaving behind a Pennsylvania snow & ice storm. That being said, just dining outside in sunny 80 degree weather in February was a treat! It was a Saturday & rather busy,...More

Mild evening breezes, birds singing in the trees, onstage Greg Morton of local fame playing folk songs, blues & ballads. Astonishing blend of sounds and tastes satisfying all you need on a Friday night with friends. Long standing staff welcome you with warmth whether you...More
There is nothing like sitting under a huge Arizona Silverleaf Oak, listening to beautiful flaminco fusion music, enjoying local brew and delicious food - in early March! For your average Western Canadian, escaping a brutal winter, this is true Nirvana. We were so fortunate to...More
Very enjoyable experience here, loved the outdoor eating area! The service was good even though they were busy. Best taco salad I’ve ever had with their special smoked pork. We had the bartender do a tequila upgrade of their classic margarita, was perfect!
We were aiming for another restaurant that had a long line and found this one instead. Wonderfully accomodating and pleasant staff. We sat inside because it was raining but outside would have been nice too. The food was quickly served and hot. Nothing to spectacular...More
Southwest cuisine is frequently listed as options in Mexican restaurants in Tuscon. The problem is that Mexican cusine and southwestern cuisine are very much different and lumping them together is a sign of mish-mashing. Hence walk away. La Cocina is a star. Pure Southwestern. Each...More
