The oldest Mexican restaurant still serves high quality food. There enchilada sauce is always consistent and flavorful. There are not many restaurants in town that serve flat enchiladas made from masa. Highly recommended.

They had mole! Living in the Northwest I rarely come by great chicken mole. El Charro delivered spot on greatness. Try to get on the sheltered patio vs sitting in the restaurant for a full Tucson experience. We had a team of 6 eat there...More

I love this restaurant that is very close to downtown. Converted home that also has a great patio/courtyard. The salsa is some of the best I have ever had. You will not be disappointed.

Start with a pitcher of margaritas, the authentic Mexican food is excellent. 26ĺ6 Charro claims to have introduced the chimichunga. I won't argue. Looking forward to dining at their new sister restaurant Charro Steak when I'm feeling flush.

The food was good. The restaurant had interesting decor. Service wasn't the greatest and bathrooms needed attention.

Located downtown in walking distances to many attractions: museum, art and music. The service was top notch. I had the Pescado Tropical - cod filet on a bed of arroz blanco and topped with fresh tomatillo sauce, roasted green chile, mango and avocado-corn salsa. Served...More

Not having much experience with Mexican food the staff were patient and gave us advice on the menu, this turned out to be very good. Thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered, which was value for money. The ambience is lovely, thoroughly recommended.
