I asked a local Hispanic woman to recommend a good restaurant with authentic Mexican food and this is one of the places she mentioned. I followed her advice and am glad I did. The extensive menu is pretty standard Mexican fare, with a few creative options thrown in for good measure. The service was great, food was delicious and the... More

We were visiting family in Tucson and they took us here for dinner. They have unusual offerings, at least for folks like us used to Southern California Mexican food. The flavors were very complex and interesting. I had a bowl of lentil soup seasoned with bacon and chilies - it was fabulous! The ceviche tostada was also excellent. The second... More

Driving from Bisbee to Sedona and found ourselves nearing Tucson at lunchtime. Wanted to avoid obvious chain restaurants so did a quick search on TripAdvisor. Guillermo's was not our first choice but they had two things that made them the obvious choice... a place to park and immediate seating. Overall we got everything we needed, a great meal, friendly, efficient... More

I really appreciate South Tucson's efforts to keep their restaurant buildings very attractive and well-kept outside, since 1948. Inside was attractive too but would benefit from a good cleaning, especially the bathrooms. Three stars because the food was not great, only one lunch special, higher prices than I am used to and the tortillas were not fresh. Nice seafood selection... More

The food it very gringo. Lots of yellow cheese. No Mexican cheese. Not a very pleasant waitress. She was in a huge hurry. Asked if we wanted dessert after barely getting our food. We had our conversations interrupted numerous times.

II've lived in tucson 35 years and this is one of my favorites. Everyone mentions mi nidito across the street which I never wanted to wait for but did try once. Wasn't worth going back when ll is right across the street with better more comfortable seating great service and food at least as good if not better. I live... More

This restaurant isn't fancy but it's very clean and friendly, the food is good, plentiful and very reasonably priced. Most dishes are very good, but the whole fried fish, which comes with fries or rice, is amazing. It's very well-spiced, sliced on both sides, and comes out crispy, flaky, and so tasty! As another reviewer mentioned, the salsa is not... More

Guillermo's is a great place to watch the hipsters sit in the 100 degree heat and wait an hour to get into Mi Nidito for the "Bill Clinton Combo Plate". Guillermo's has an eating area that is much more comfortable than Mi Nidito, Micha's, or Crossroads. Parking is plentiful and there is usually no wait at lunchtime, unlike the aforementioned... The food was good. The carna asada green chile was excellent. The fried ice cream was also very good and very big for the price. The service was very friendly and refilled ice tea and sodas before they were empty. I would give 5 stars except the prices are just a tad higher than some of the good Mexican food... More

We tried to dine at Mi Niditos but an hour wait... we decided to walk across the street to Guillermo's LL. Service was OK, decor was OK, food slightly below OK, Salsa slightly below OK. Nothing was bad (except the red sauce on my wife's enchilada, oh and the guac was horrible). Best thing about our visit...Beer was served in... More
