This is a comfortable, casual and unpretentious Indian restaurant in the heart of Salem. We have been coming for years and really love this place. The food is great, with extensive vegetarian options, and the service is quick and friendly. Prices are remarkably modest, given the quality of the food. There is so much to like here, but I particularly... More

We made a point of heading back here for a second time during our visit because it is that good! We love Indian food and have eaten it in some of the biggest cities in North America and the food here was right on par if not better! Service was polite, prompt and the prices are good. If you like... More

We were able to make reservations here on Halloween weekend. The food was pretty good and comparable to excellent Indian restaurants. We got our food within 10 minutes of ordering even though the restaurant was full. The service wasn't great, our waters weren't refilled and no one bothered to ask us how our meal was. Overall I would visit again... More

Our final stop in our family road trip was in Salem, MA anmd the town was packed from the Halloween Fest that goes thorughout the month of October. We searched for several places to eat and each one of them was packed, people waiting 45 minutes to get a table and we were both hungry and with little time, so... More

While not a huge fan of Indian food, we took guests from the far east there recently and they loved it. All of our meals were delicious and those who wanted spicy, got it!

We chose to eat here after being slighted at the Gulu Gulu cafe- glad we did!! The food and service were wonderful! I wish we had tried more of their naan varieties, but alas we did not.

A nice restaurant in a good central location. The staff was friendly, and the food was amazing. Definitely try the coconut soup

My wife and I have been going to this restaurant pretty much since it opened in the early 2000's. The standard of the food has been pretty reliable over the years and we have had some very nice meals. We hadn't been for a few years and decided to call in yesterday. The restaurant was very quiet, there were three... More

We decided to try this place after exerting ourselves in an open water race at the beach. We brought our appetites and exuberance to Passage To India, but when we entered there were two men hanging out in the bar area who seemed to be working there, but never greeted us. A third man seated us with what seemed to... More

I had a mango lassi which was very good. Nice flavor and consistency. For dinner I had the chicken vindaloo and garlic naan. I was warned the vindaloo was hot and it was. I really like hot food and it was close to too hot. But it was so good. The naan was fantastic (must get a naan, any naan).

Thank Rebecca S
