If you are looking for something a little more interesting than your average breakfast options, I would recommend Ocho. Service was a little grumpy and slow, but we were the only customers and perhaps the bartender was just not feeling it that day.

Went here for breakfast on a Saturday- whether you sit inside or outside it's beautiful with big open window and a fantastic atmosphere all around. Food was amazing and coffee was great tasting too! Highly recommend!

I really don't like telling many people about this place...one of my favorite spots in town. The food, the vibe, the drinks. The bar downstairs is one of the most romantic chill spots in SA.

We went for a late lunch and enjoyed the Pan American food, service and views. I had three types of sliders finished off with an amazing Latte.

Great hidden location, food delicious. A must visit. If you can't decide try the chicken wrapped in bacon.

At ten on a Friday morning it was surprisingly not very crowded. The setting is beautiful, the service was very attentive, and the food was excellent. Plantain griddle cakes with Mexican crema and the avocado omelette were both tasty and attractive. We will go back.

I had the pleasure of going here twice during my recent stay in San Antonio. I went both times for breakfast and it was delicious. Each time half a meal was plenty, which is always a perk. In addition to the yummy food, I really...More

Went for brunch with another couple. Everything was lovely--the service, the coffee, the view, the decor. Funky chandeliers overhead. My broiled grapefruit was delicious. Poached eggs and bolillo toast was tasty, and my hubby loved his large bowl of seasonal fruit with a banana bread...More

The little dining area called Ocho was delightful in atmosphere and the service was attentive. The menu seemed to be intended to provide an interesting variety of items. We had only the appetizers but that was a meal in itself.

Mojitos were refreshing and they didn't skimp on the alcohol like some do. The tostones (plantains) were seasoned just right. Definitely a good way to start the meal. My salmon was excellent. They cooked it to a beautiful medium and the flavors made me really...More

There are multiple comments about seafood dishes, but I don't eat seafood. Is there a good selection of non-seafood items?

Is a fusion between Cuban and Mexican. It was hard for me to find a dish that was not spicy. The tostones were not as crispy as Cuban tostones. Like others said look at their menu on web site. When we went the waitress was... More

Description
Inspired by the union of old and new worlds, Ocho at Hotel Havana offers two unique spaces for dining and drinks on the Museum Reach of the River Walk in San Antonio. The upstairs Ocho dining room, situated in a glass and steel conservatory reminiscent of a birdcage, opens onto the river and offers seating both indoors and outdoors. The downstairs lounge provides a dimly candlelit gathering place with velvet couches and antique leather club chairs suited for intimate meetings and secret rendezvous. Ocho at Hotel Havana presents a food, cocktail and wine menu that is rooted in the hotel's pan-Latin cultural influences. Ocho offers inventive menus for breakfast (voted among the Best in Texas by Texas Monthly Magazine), lunch, dinner and late night to be served in-room, on the patio or in the upstairs lounge.
