We celebrated a very special birthday with 6 couples on a chartered rio river dinner cruise. I selected Biga on the Banks to cater the event. I used Botanika for the flowers and special linens, chargers, guest gifts and votives. The evening couldn't have been more perfect! Every vendor performed perfectly. The waiters, meal, wine, decorations, ambience and attention to... More

We visited this restaurant while in the city for a conference. We were not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious, but the location and the service is really what did it for us. Our server was extremely knowledgable about the menu, the chef, the food, everything. I know that this should be expected in a place like this, but it... More

I had scoped out Biga prior to arriving and made a reservation prior. Big did not disappoint. It is located in the International Center which is a bit of a walk from the central Riverwalk area. It was well worth it. The seared tuna I had may have been the best I ever had. The beef tenderloin my wife enjoyed... More

Every time we have eaten at Biga's, it has been a Five Star experience. A few days before Thanksgiving, we celebrated our 55th Anniversary. It was an evening of great food, wonderful beverages and fantastic service by everyone from Chef Auden and all of the staff. It was an exceptional experience deserving Six Stars. The next time we are in... More

My party of four adults from Houston, on holiday in San Antonio, went to Biga on the Banks for Thanksgiving dinner. We chose this restaurant based on reviews on the internet. We were disappointed. There was plenty to choose from if you go for quantity only. There was an entire room of starters – salads of many kinds, anti-pasta, cold... More

We were in town for a boot camp graduation. We've never eaten thanksgiving out.. Server was very nice. We were disappointed in the buffet. There were several items that were gone & not replace yet. The turkey was undercooked very pink in the middle & skin was not crisp. Went to get mashed potatoes they were out & did not... More

Came here for a business dinner. THey make decent drinks but the food is just okay. Maybe it was a mistake to order the chicken at a steakhouse but I hoped against hope it would be good; alas a bit dry and not particularly flavorful. Chicken fried oysters tasted mostly liked fried anything, not sure why it had to be... More

The whole evening celebrating our anniversary with our family was made extra special by the staff, first class service, but not outdone by the food and beverages.

First time in SA and had to say I will absolutely come again . The restaurants ambience plus the river walk lights made it even more romantic! The service from the hosts to the servers was great ! Definitely recommend!

We took a chance to dine at Biga without a reservation and were luck to have dinner from a chef with 7James Beard nominations as the best chef in the Southwest US. High compliments to the chef from so many. We began by sharing a great cobb salad and then four starters. The best of the starters was the merguez... More
