They have a deli counter where you can buy meat to go but they excel as a restaurant. The sandwiches are great because of the high quality of the meat. The prices are good and they put a ton of meat on their sandwiches.

Schilo's is a wonderful treat for those whose idea of breakfast doesn't extent to $30 omelets. To put it simply, this is the cheapest breakfast you're likely to find anywhere outside your own kitchen. Portions are small but prices are so reasonable you can easily...More

Stopped here for lunch because it’s right next door to the USO. Service was fast and friendly, ordered the rubens, beef w/ gravy, kraut dog, BLT, and a pitcher of root beer. Not sure which was best, the icy root beer or the food. Found...More

Next time try our surface parking lot on Market Street across from the Briscoe Museum. It is a flat rate lot, so it is usually a lot less than the changing rates in the covered garage next door. But glad you enjoyed everything else and...More

We had seen recommendations for this German-style deli in one of the tourist publications, and since it was in walking distance of our hotel, we gave it a try. The sandwiches were VERY good! And the prices were surprisingly reasonable given the location in the...More

The Riverwalk is so convenient and enjoyable that any hotel is a pleasant walk to get there. I don't remember which would be the closest, if walking is difficult for you, but if not, it's no more than a ten or fifteen minute... More
