The Saturday lunch buffet was very good and had more variety than we anticipated. My husband is not a big fan of East Indian food, but he enthusiastically dug into the tandori chicken, chicken curry and naan. I had a taste of almost everything on the buffet, and enjoyed all of it except the vegetable pakora, which was without taste.... More

During our visit to San Antonio, we decided for Indian food. Checked out the reviews on TripAdvisor and selected the #1 rated Indian restaurant. The decor was definitely Indian. We were greeted and quickly taken to our table. Our order was taken and this is when the disappointment started to set in. We waited approximately 25 minutes for our food.... More

I love Indian lunch buffets. Two of us ate a delicious lunch, including beer and soda, for $30. It was very easy to figure out which items were vegetarian, since the non-vegetarian items were grouped together. My favorite dishes were the hot vegetables freshly prepared in a giant wok. I enjoyed the surprisingly sweet and tangy carrots, the potatoes and... More

I haven't been there in years. They have expanded their space. The strip center has been renovated. The food is excellent. It stimulates all of your taste buds. They use herbs and spices to produce the unique flavors. Yum! You will have to provide time to spend and enjoy the restaurant. The waitstaff was friendly and informative.

I have been reluctant to eat Indian food primarily because all Indian restaurants I have visited stank really bad. However, my wife convinced me to adventure to one more Indian restaurant and I am glad I accepted. India Oven is very clean, no cooking odors can interrupt your evening, and their menu is excellent. I cannot get enough of them... More

I came here with 5 other work colleagues after work hours looking for a good Indian restaurant that wasn't a buffet. We each ordered our own dishes so we could sample others. The dishes were very good ranging from very mild to somewhat spicy and the Naan was also very good. I particularly liked the crackers at the start of... More

Arrived for an early dinner. Only a few tables were occupied. They immediately seated us. The place was very clean. All the waiters were very courteous. We ordered a lentil soup and it was excellent. Not very familiar with Indian cuisine, my wife ordered a spicy lamb dish and I ordered the lamb with a spinach sauce. Both meals were... More

Went with friends who said it was good. They were right. We had the fish (swordfish) tandoori, chicken tandoori, sag paneer, and chicken tikka masala, along with some plain naan and a rice. We asked for medium spicy and they obliged. The tandoori items were brought out sizzling, like fajitas. The sag paneer was extremely creamy and smooth. Basmati rice... More

This is by far my favorite Indian restaurant in San Antonio. From the creamy Saag Paneer to the delicious Naan bread, they do a fantastic job. Their buffet, when available, is the best way to sample their delicious dishes. It is always hot, fresh, and amazing! For those who like their Indian food super spicy, you're better off ordering from... More

I love Indian restaurants in Great Britain so I am a bit strict when rating any. San Antonio IS NOT a sophisticated city with sophisticated restaurants. Indian cuisine is not high on local taste so all restaurants are basic with a mediocre cuisine at best. They tend to be cheap buffets. Stick to local cuisine and skip international cuisine restaurants.... More
