For some reason, the Barbecue Station is hardly mentioned by local publications and never mentioned by Texas Monthly in its annual barbecue edition, but it should be. It is predictably, consistently delicious, no matter what meat or sides are chosen. The Elgin sausage is cooked perfectly, the beans have lots of flavor, the brisket is slow-cooked and delicious, the Turkey... More

We continue to eat Barbecue at this restaurant because no where else can make anything that compares!! The brisket, the ribs, the smoked turkey . . . all of it is so delicious that it makes you want more!

Excellent barbque. It had such a great taste that I didn't bother putting sauce on the meat. Potato salad was ok but I've had better. Pinto beans were really good. I wish they gave you a larger bowl for them. Overall, enjoyed it and would certainly come back.

We came for the music, which was a treat, and were really pleased with the ribs. A funky place, old Texas.

It's all good, but the burnt ends alone are worth the frequent trips. This joint is Burnt Ends Nirvana. When the pit master sees me walk in, out comes a totally black hunk of brisket and the slicing begins. Best burnt ends that have ever passed through anyone's lips.

Nothing great. The BBQ sauce is like water. Smells wayyyyyy better than it tastes. Would not likely be back.

We wanted BBQ while in San Antonio and didn't want a chain. So we tried the Barbecue Station. The place is cute, and old gas station turned restaurant. Looks better inside then outside. Clean, friendly staff and good prices. The brisket was awesome! We also had the pork loin and chicken. I would come again. It looked like they were... More

This is a former gas station on the Loop 410 access road just before you get to the Harry Wurzbach intersection, going eastbound. Top notch brisket and sausage did it for me. Dining companions spoke well of the chicken. You order from the counter you will see when you walk in, no waitstaff. The menu is on the walls behind... More
