Dinner with wife on a Friday night. Place full but doesn't look crowded. It's a collection of smaller spaces. It works very well. We went for set menus (offered during the restaurant week) with a glass of wine accompanying each course. My squash soup was among the better specimens of the genus. It had a prawn and a nice piece... More

After our 1st visit, I was underwhelmed. But perhaps I was having a bad day or what I ordered just wasn't to my liking. So, we decided to try again during Restaurant Week. Food is #1 and I've eaten at a lot of restaurants that grandly present unique dishes at high prices. Some of those have been among the best... More

Maybe our expectations were too high, maybe we caught them on a bad night, or maybe we had been spoiled by our experience at Geronimo the previous night, but our experience at Restaurant Martin was disappointing. For starters, our table was in what I understand is a recent addition to the restaurant - a large room "out the back" with... More

Very fine Dining and a good wine list (we enjoyed Le Capitaine Vouvry). The "staple" items have unique combinations and/or twists. Most of us had seafood special items which were excellent that night. The Vegetarian Tasting plate was also delicious.

We enjoyed Christmas eve at Martin, the butternut squash soup and the venison were perfect. The staff was very accomodating with the 3 children in our group, and the service was efficient and friendly. Will definitely go back on another trip to Santa Fe! We even bought the cookbook!

Visiting Santa Fe for Christmas, we decided to try Restaurant Martin for our Christmas dinner. They were offering a 3 course prix fixe dinner and it turned out to be a good choice. Although overall I would not call it outstanding, there were some outstanding moments. The butternut squash soup was wonderful as were the salads. The presentation of all... More

We had a wonderful family Christmas Eve dinner at Martin, the staff was very attentive and accommodating with the children. We enjoyed a very tasty butternut squash bisque and delicious venison. Good wine list, delicious food, friendly atmosphere, perfect evening. Gracias Martin! Thank you for signing your cookbook!

We live in Santa Fe and needed a last-minute place to have Christmas dinner due to a travel cancellation. The fact that Restaurant Martin was about the only place with a lot of availability two days before Christmas should have been a clue (all of the better restaurants were already fully booked.) It was a little off-putting to receive a... More

The service tonight was sub par. We waited 10 min before server took our order and she left our table before completing the task. She seemed very scattered and stretched thin. We waited another 5 min until she came back. The food was not steller, especially the vegetable entree; bland and each offering was prepared badly.
