With menu items such as Nuts and Birds, Coconut Curry, and Volcano Fish you know you are not in a traditional Chinese restaurant. Their Coffee Chicken is a delight.Vegetarians and Canirvores will find gourmet quality dishes that are not easily found. Every dish we tried was delicious. They have an average wine and sake list, but the food is the... More

Been a Chows customer for years but a carry out order error gone bad led to an argument with Lucy in which she refused to replace a dish that we were told on the phone was gluten free but was not. My wife called the following day and was treated so rudely by Lucy that we will never go back.... More

This place has reliably good quality - food is very good yet not exactly like big city Chinese eateries.

Visited here with old friends and ordered three dishes - Almond (and Raisin) Chicken, New Wave Scallops, and Lemon Fish. All were excellent - hard to say which was best. The scallops and chicken were unique and innovative, both very tasty. Prices were a bit on the high side, but it was worth it.

We just had a small birthday party at Chow's. The signature dish is the coffee chicken. It's amazing. We also had the prawns with walnuts in a sweet/sour sauce and the delectable fried wontons stuffed with a light cheese that came with a lime/ginger sauce. There are many wonderful choices on the menu. Locals know this place so plan to... More

I don't know what to call it, but Chinese food is the wrong nomenclature. This is some the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. Everything I have ever tried here has been awful except for the glasses of tap water. Avoid it.

They call themselves contemporary Chinese but that's just total baloney. From the crabby husband to the pushy wife at the front of the house, this place screams "go elsewhere." (Go to Yin Yang!) The food is only average Chinese, with nothing special, in spite of the wife's boasting how fabulous it all is. They are both rude, in their own... More

Went to Chows on a very slow evening. There were maybe 2 or 3 other tables with customers. Had a variety of foods including Mongolian beef, Cashew chicken, beef Kung Pao with an appetizer of Ranch Spring Rolls. Most of the meals are between $11 to $15. Service was great and friendly. More food than we could eat and they... More

A friend recommended this place, so we tried it for lunch, and decided to have all appetizers. We happened to pick a very busy day when there was a large group there for lunch, so that may have impacted our experience. The pot stickers were tasty, particularly the pepper sauce they were served with, but they were barely warm. The... More

Over the years, my husband and I have given this place several chances, and every single time we go there (usually because somebody we know invites us to tag along), we come away saying "no más." For us, Chow's just doesn't live up to its promise and reputation, which is a shame because we desperately need palate cleansers in this... More
