We were told that we HAD to go to Santa Fe Bite while we were in SAnta Fe, so we did. We both had the 10 oz green chile cheeseburger. It was delicious, but a mistake in that it was huge. I should have opted for the smaller 6 oz version. The rest of the menu looks interesting as well.

This place is a long time Santa Fe traditional go to restuarants. It was started by the parents of on of the owners abour 40 years ago. Since moving into the downtown area from about seven miles out the business even more people eat there (it always was crowded). Best to arrive early for either lunch or dinner to avoid... More

We go out for breakfast every Saturday, and I chose Santa Fe Bite this past weekend. The ambiance is very nice, the staff very good, the prices very reasonable and the food also very good. My wife had biscuits and gravy, which was very strong on the green chili side; I have a breakfast quesadilla with sausage, which was EXCELLENT.... More

This restaurant is known for its burgers, particularly the green chili cheeseburger, so most people in our party of seven ordered the green chili cheeseburger. It was just spicy enough to be about as much as I could take (I don't tend to like food to be too spicy), but was absolutely delicious. The meat was obviously of decent quality.... More

We were four for dinner, us the visitors, and two locals who are very familiar with the place. They recommended the burgers, which have been repeatedly hailed as among the best, not only in New Mexico, but in the whole U.S. My wife and the locals went for burgers, I ordered the steak sandwich. The local beer I ordered turned... More

We beat the rush because as soon as we were seated, there was a long wait. We knew this must be a good place. We ordered typical comfort food, like burgers, fries, fried chicken, and mashed potatoes. They were all so good that we took what little food we had left to go with us (even though we were staying... More

Great location w/good vibe. BUT, beware the Prices. Burger was overcooked and average. The onion rings were standard SYSCO food service type....not battered on site. Hopefully this place will get its act together before it folds again.....(it used to be Bobcat Bites)

We're here with a family group of 13 adults and kids. Very welcome at the entrance. We were seated quickly and politely. Order anything that says "Green Chile" in its name. You're in the best green chili country anywhere I've been in the world. For the uninitiated, green chilis are not hot peppers. The chilies have very mild heat with... More

The Famous Green Chile Cheeseburgers are back! John and Bonnie Eckre, formerly of Bobcat Bite, are taking their food to the next level at the new Santa Fe Bite located inside Garrett's Desert Inn on Old Santa Fe Trail. In addition to their savory Green Chile Cheeseburgers, Santa Fe Bite features fresh tacos, fish and chips, sandwiches, a choice of French or sweet potato fries and a little something they like to call 'The Big Bite' that comes with a side of buttery garlic bread. Creamy milkshakes and homemade lemonade are just some of the sweet treats popping up on their new menu. Also, we are now serving beer and wine. Santa Fe Bite opens at 8am Saturday and Sunday which means early birds can sample tasty Breakfast menu offerings like hot cornmeal pancakes with maple syrup, brioche French toast with maple caramel sauce and house-made biscuits with Mom's gravy. Spend a leisurely Sunday outside at Santa Fe Bite. The new Brunch menu includes eggs benedict, Steak & Eggs and Huevos Rancheros.
