2011 Barley Wine
2011 Barley wine the ancient greeks, who had no beer, referred to the grain-based beverage of the egyptians and other more fortunate cultures as "barley wine. " Today, the term applies to a style of big, complex, malty and hoppy ales whose provenance is 19th century england. One of the only beer styles extensively aged. This edition (just a teenager now in “barley wine years”) was brewed in november of 2011, and was made with prized maris-otter barley from the united kingdom, and hopped with east kent goldings and pacific nw centennial – a favorite combination. We will be re-introducing it periodically
