Enjoyed the venison meatloaf and the price was reasonable. Other people in our party had the pork chop & the mushroom tart. The peanut butter dessert was a hit.

We enjoyed the first meal so much that we had to go back the next evening. The chef did an outstanding job, be sure you try the brandy infused ice cream with your dessert.

Was here as part of a package stay at the Mimslyn Inn. Nice Pub atmosphere. The menu was small but lots to choose from. The food was well prepared, good portions, and nice selection of wine. The service was great. We got there early on...a Tuesday which was a good thing because by 7 it was packed and 12 parties waiting for tables. Says something about the food? Brie appetizer, Pecan Chicken, and Jeger Schnitzel were all good. Kudos to the Chef!More

Food is good. For drinks, they rob you blind with weak liquor and upcharges of $4 upon the waiters offering of "which liquor do you prefer." If you say what you want then they proceed to increase your bar tab $4 for something they offered...you. Ridiculous!More

We just finished viewing Luray Cavern and wanted dinner before heading back to Shendendoah Park. The lady at Luray gift shop highly recommended this place and she was right. They were very accommodating even though very busy. The staff very friendly and welcoming and the...food superb! We had their onion soup, chaplin salad, pecan chicken, jager schnitzel and cheesecake for dessert - all terrific and well presented. Large portions as well!More

We ate here twice and everything was delicious. The servers were very gracious and helpful. They have a good selection of draft beer and wine. During the week days in October there are only two or three restaurants that are open for dinner. This is...definitely the nicest one. I highly recommend this restaurant.More

We went to the Speakeasy because nothing else was open and had such a wonderful experience. The food was excellent, our waitress was so kind and thoughtful. They had done all of the CDC requirements handling the table setting, tables, food, and drinks with care....It was so clean! Thank you for a wonderful evening in a very trying time, Speakeasy!More

We had such a great time at the speakeasy tonight. The food was amazing. I had the tilapia and my husband had the pulled pork. I also was excited to have a local brown ale from Legend brewery that was incredible. The live music was...terrific. Great time all around.More

Stopped in for a couple of appetizers and a drink. Food was just okay. Not much flavor and the fried foods were somewhat greasy and not very hot. Presentation was more like a fast food chain, similar to a Denny’s or Applebees. Prices were decent.

Outstanding $3/oz NY strip or fillet with mushrooms and baked potato were excellent - tender, juicy, steak grilled exactly as ordered. Oysters Rockefeller were fresh and tasty; 5 stars and I’d order them again. Experienced, friendly bartender and server, Cassie, was great. Highly recommend.

We will start with the wait staff, our waitress was super polite but we noticed our order wasn’t written down but memorized which is usually fine but a little lacking this time... so we got our steaks and salads at the same time and our...appetizer at the end... but it’s Christmas so we just let it go because she was very polite and apologetic.. Now the food... Caesar salad was decent (onions in it, never seen that) and the dressing was just ok,.. Filet was absolutely fantastic with an unbelievable flavor... I have eaten at a ton of big steak houses and these steaks could hang with all of them-5 plus stars!!!!!! Baked potato was perfect (I know it’s a potato but some restaurants can screw them up!). Cheese fondue was tasty, could have been a little hotter, but good... Nice restaurant to visit when in Luray....More

We staid in the hotel which is in same building and had three times dinner as there were not many other options in town at this time of the year and the day's we were there. Service was depending on the waiter, once very good,...once really poor (e.g. we already got our main course where we were still enjoying our appetiser). One night there was live music, but that loud you nearly could not speak to each other. The food we would say is just average plus, not bad not really good, but ok. Pricing was for sure ok for what was offered.More

We had no dinner reservation. It was a Saturday night. We really wanted a good dinner after a few really mediocre ones. Speakeasy does not take reservations, so we figured we would just go and check out the wait time. It was only 6:30, early...for a Saturday night. Maybe we would get lucky. We got seated right away! We ordered drinks, which were unusual and came quickly. We ordered our meals, salmon and pork chops, with onion soup appetizers, which also came quickly. Service excellent. Food very good. Unfortunately, my wife became faint afterwards (due to dehydration), which has happened before. The staff helped me get her to the lounge area, where she was able to recover in a comfortable chair. Throughout this event, the staff was exceptional, constantly asking if there was anything else they could do. Lovely dinner with a happy ending.More

This is a popular spot in Luray with no reservations so be prepared to wait. The food is average and the service for a large party is a bit slow. They do have a good folk singer.

Called ahead for 7 adults 2 children for res but was told walk in only. We went on a Sunday eve at 7pm and was told they were setting up a table for us. Asked again at 715 and they now said waiting for a...group to leave. Other groups of 4 were getting seated. The group table we were waiting for were ordering dessert at 735 so we left. The manager did not seem to care or apologize for the issues we ran into. Never againMore
