I visited this restaurant with friends and we were so glad we decided to give it a try. The meal started with a nice variety of fresh breads. For our entrees, we chose duck, Jager Schnitzel, and salmon. All were perfectly prepared and outstanding. The...sides were nice complements. The asparagus was especially good. Service was prompt, but unhurried. We thoroughly enjoyed our whole experience and will all return at the earliest opportunity.More

Great food, great service and great ambience = Romantic Evening. My wife and I enjoyed this immensely. We even enjoyed the bourbon icecream. A local favorite.

Came here for a wedding anniversary dinner during a weekend trip to Luray. So glad they reopened for dinners two weeks ago; there aren’t too many upscale spots in Luray. Bryce did a great job taking care of us, food was a good portion, and...just enough variety to stay interesting. The bacon-wrapped Brie as an appetizer was well worth the cost-so yummy! The beet salad was great, and the meatloaf had good flavor (and bacon-wrapped too!!). It looks like they’re serving the same food at the Speakeasy and Circa31 for now, so pick your spot based on ambiance ;)More

If you are visiting Luray, Sunday brunch is something you should not miss. A great selection on the menu. We were celebrating my birthday weekend with a fairly large group and the service was friendly and efficient. Food was delicious. And the atmosphere is wonderful...at the Mimslyn Inn. Enjoy.More

My wife surprised me with a few days at a cabin in Luray and upon arriving we quickly realized dining options were slim. We asked at the gas station they said go to the Mimslyn and ask for Casi. So we did. She informed us...they were booked for evening but if we were in town to come in and she would try her best to fit us in and if she couldn't we could order takeout. We figured we didn't have any other option so we started looking for the Mimslyn. When we saw the magnificent hotel on the hill we immediately fell in love. We waited about 20 minutes and a table became available. Our food was glorious, honestly one of the best meals we've ever had and the service from Rayann was just as good. However the thing that impressed us the most was Casi and her customer service. She was wearing many different hats that evening by seating people, cleaning tables and all the while checking to make sure everyone was having a great dining experience. My wife and I have traveled many places but have never felt more welcome than we did by your staff. Before we left we thanked her again and asked her if there was anything she didn't do and she humbly replied "it's my job to make sure everyone is happy" well Casi, you not only do your job you go above and beyond and your kindness will not be forgotten by us. We will be back and this time we will stay in the magnificent hotel on the hill!More

We stayed at the Mimslyn Inn and decided to try the restaurant and were very pleased with the experience - service atmosphere and food were all excellent. We had the Fried Green tomato and summer salad appetizers and butternut squash ravioli with shrimp. All were...excellent I would order them again. Highly recommended!More

We had dinner here while staying at the hotel. The service is done in a grand ballroom as well as a few tables out on their porch. Reservations are very suggested on the weekends. They seem to have fewer tables during covid. They were spaced...quite far apart, which was nice. The service was nice but average. The food was a little pricey, but not surprising for a hotel, nor was it egregious. The entrees were good and were nice portions. The fried chicken was good, as were the stuffed portabellos and the ravioli. The appetizers were just ok. The nachos were not much more than what you could do yourself at home. They have some nice cocktails and wine, include selection from VA wineries.More

The building is amazing the the staff were great. The food was ok and over priced, but it is a hotel restaurant so that is pretty normal.

After driving around Luray, Circa '31 was the obvious place to have a quiet dinner for two. Advertised as a limited menu due to Covid-19, we had no trouble finding something we liked. Service was good as were the mixed drinks. Recommend!

To start, I really enjoyed my dinner experience at this restaurant. I felt a little under dressed with how nice the placed looked when I first walked in. Everyone assured me that that didn't matter (lol). The menu was a little limited with the COVID...restrictions. I felt comfortable with how they had everything setup. My server was Patience. She was great. She helped me with all of my indecisions and her recommendations worked great for me. I had the french onion soup, beef tips, and chocolate cake. With the beef tips, they were able to put the normal sauce on the side and let me try the blackberry BBQ sauce on the side that was on the menu with another item. Both sauces were tasty. The blackberry BBQ sauce was great with everything! (I got a little side to take home/great w/pork chops too!). The decor in the restaurant and hotel lobby area was very nice.More

We came to Luray on our honeymoon and Circa '31 was our last hurrah, romantic dinner together before heading back home. Our server DeAwna made our night more than we could've asked for. The service was impeccable and her friendly yet professional conduct completely made...our night even more special. Melissa is who we talked to on the phone prior to arriving and if it wasn't for her phone presence we may not have come at all. But GOSH are we glad we did!! If you are in the area do yourself a favor and stop by the Mimslyn Inn and check out Circa '31. You will be glad you did. If you're lucky and DeAwna is working that day, request her. You will be happily surprised at the level of service and care you'll receive while at the same time being left alone when it is prudent. Thank you to the entire staff at Circa '31 for making our last night of our honeymoon our most special.More

Felt so safe here during covid-19 Couldn't have been more aware of safety. The stuffed portabella was just great and the wild game meatloaf was the best ever tasted.

The COVID hybrid menu (part casual from downstairs, part upscale from the main restaurant), featured classic Southern ingredients with a gourmet twist. The pimento cheese dip with flecks of Virginia ham had the perfect amount of salt to be appetizing and satisfying as a spread...over crackers. Fried green tomatoes were perfectly crunchy with a spicy sauce. Mains (blackened fish, beef medallions) were average, slightly overcooked and oversauced. Great cocktails and the sunset view from the porch saved the dinner, as did the attentive service from Patience.More
