Our car salesman recommended Brennan's and they didn't disappoint. Husband had the Black and Blue burger which he enjoyed tremendously. I had a Mott and Canal traditional cheeseburger with cheddar which was plentiful, and a nice cold pint off their extensive beer menu. The fries were very good. It wasn't very busy on this particular Saturday afternoon but it was... More

The food and service were fine. The atmosphere was good for a night out drinking. Loud, impersonal and crowded( which would indicate that it has found its niche).

Went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch - there were 5 of us. My two boys started out sharing an order of loaded fries. They said they were good, but the plate they came on could have been bigger. And the individual plates they brought were really small, too. The burgers were pretty big and the fries were delicious. Everyone... More

UGH! very strange smell when we walked in the door. Should have been the red flag to turn around at that point! It smelled kind of sour and pungent at the same time. Were pressed to find something when the power outage was happening so decided to stay and try it. VERY VERY VERY GREASY FOOD! you know when the... More

Brennan's used to be a good Irish Pub, now it is hit or miss. The pub grub is below par. They did not even get corned beef and cabbage right. A bar is a bar is a bar. They need to get their food back up to snuff to set themselves apart and thrive.

They have a full menu and bar. Their wings are good (You are in Buffalo). What gets me to go back is their steamers. They are as good as you will get in Essex, MA. (I have had them in both places in the same weeks).

Food was good but not exceptional or unique. Overall service was good, food was good and beer was cold. Looking for a place to get some good pub grub and wet your whistle this fits the bill.

We frequent Brennan's for a late lunch or a beer about six times a year. They always have a good selection of draft and bottled beer and the menu offers a wide variety pub food. Our favorite snack is the Guiness Muscles. It's obvious the the place is home to many regulars but it is also very welcoming for newcomers.

Alright, where do I start? Service was absolutely miserable. 10 minutes for a drink order at the bar when not particularly busy and I wasn't seen again for over 20 minutes. I gave up trying to order food and went somewhere else because the service was so bad.

This is the kind of restaurant in a mall that you would drive right by. Glad that our local "tour guide" suggested it. Wide menu with a lot of local choices, but we were here for the beef on weck. It didn't disappoint. Soft and salty -- these are some of the best kummelweck rolls I have ever had. Great... More
