This is a BYO Japanese restaurant, tucked away behind the main strip of Waikiki Beach. There is an ABC store metres away to get alcohol if you need to. The food is delicious and very fresh, we found the prices quite good for Honolulu and we actually felt like leaving a tip after our meal. Being very spoilt with produce... More

wandering along on our daily walks and saw this spot tucked in behind the hyatt. looked great, reminded us of our eating experiences in japan. came back a few nights later and we had a great time. we were advised right away that they did not serve alcohol, but that we could buy some and bring it in. so after... This restaurant is hiding spot, back side of Hyatt Regency Waikiki. Locals eatery and quick Japanese meal for ramen, curry rice, etc. Price is very reasonable. But if you are Asian (visitors and locals), the owner add a service fee to your bill.

This is the kind of off-the-main-street place you can count on for good food but not a splashy special occasion ambience. It's casual, comfortable and the service is excellent. BYOB. Check to see if you can get a fish collar - sometimes they have them and they are tasty!

This is a little hole in a wall Japanese restaurant. Sushi is fresh and delicious, the grilled squid was wonderful!! Only negative thing is that they do not sell/serve alcohol, but they welcome you to bring your own bottle or cans and let you enjoy the meal with the drinks purchased outside. Food prices are very reasonable, not outrageous like... More

Food was alright, sashimi was fresh, but it's expensive and the what you get its so tiny. We spend $60 and were not even full.

Went in last week with a child. The lady seemed to have a bad attitude, and even though the child was well behaved, and there were other children in the restaurant, she seemed to complain about the safety of sitting on the chair. Food is fair, but attitude of the lady is unacceptable. Some things ordered were missing. Avoid at... More

Shameful. We were disheartened by the fact that the ramen tasted exactly like S&S saimin. I mean, don't get me wrong. We love S&S too, but we were totally not expecting this at a cute hole-in-the-wall ramen shop in the middle of Waikiki surf shops. Or maybe we should have expected that then? Hmmm... I can only rate the lunch... More
