Dined here with my boyfriend and our friends. What a great experience! Sushi is prime fresh! No need for shoyu. BYOB! Best value and amazingly fresh. Morio gets his sushi fresh from Japan. HIgh quality seafood. Only the best.

Some friends brought us here (our first visit) the food was phenomenal! Omakase!! Our server, Brandon made sure we were totally satisfied with the meal. The fish was very fresh! Each bite melted in our mouths with no fishy taste, just clean deliciousness. They book months ahead as it is a small place (16 people) so advice -- Call and... More

Neither fancy nor cheap, but the best value in town. Take omakase unless you are a frequent guest and know the menu. If you sit at the bar, you can chat with Morio while he composes the dishes. If you sit at a table, he might shout over to you anyway. Only 23 seats. He sometimes asks guests what ingredients... More

Morio's is a must do for us every year when we visit Honolulu. The food is so fresh and tasty, the staff super friendly and Morio is what makes this place special. Make sure you make your reservation 3 months in advance though or call at 5:30pm the day of to see if they have any cancellation. This place is... More

Hole in the Wall location on King St, only seats about 20 people, and need to call three Months (yes months) in advance. Two seatings. But worth the efforts. We ordered the Chef's Special...whatever the chef gets from the fish market that day, so you know its fresh!!! That night we started with Lobster sashimi, presented with the head and... More

When we first drove up to the restaurant my wife noticed a couple of homeless people in front of the restaurant, but that didn't scarce us off. So we had made reservations 3 maths prior and was looking forward to this meal, and I had bought some sake across the street to serve to the chef Morio, The restaurant is... More

Morio's Sushi Bistro is a very popular small local sushi bar and restaurant. Reservations are required, sometimes up to three months in advance. If you are lucky, you may be able to pick up a cancellation. Although recently remodeled so now ten can sit at the sushi bar, the restaurant only seats about twenty in two seatings at 6:00 pm... Waited a while to eat here. Was a little disappointed but the food was good. It was a great value and you can't go wrong with the price of the omakase. Felt a little rushed as they wanted to go home. BYOB makes it an even better value. Will go there in another 3 months.
