The food here was really good. I usually don't care for more formal restaurants, but this is definitely an exception. My only complaint is that the service itself was very slow, but the quality of the food mostly made up for it.

My wife and I started with a Caesar Salad. It was tasty, but without Parmesan cheese -- they don't have any in the restaurant! That was a first for me -- a Caesar Salad without Parmesan cheese. For the entree, we both opted for the vegetarian special -- which was comprised on lots of potatoes and some zucchini squash in... More

I went with a friend to have drinks and a bite to eat. The place was packed but we were happy to sit at the bar and talk to the bartender in the few free moments he had. The drinks (lychee cocktails) were excellent and the pu-pu (appetizers, snacks) were to die for. The lobster won-tons were packed with huge... More

The service was wonderful and the food was fabulous! We have had dinner here before and it is always excellent! This evening started out with a few appetizers that were uniquely delicious (and shared among friends) - Ahi Katsu and the second one was a special of the evening. For dinner I ordered the "Catch of the day" - Mahi... More

We ate here with friends, by far one of our best experiences. The waiter was well informed and great host. Loved the chocolate dessert with caramel. For me it should be in Ohau's top ten

We wanted fresh fish. Dean, at the concierge desk at the Kahala Hotel, said without hesitation "well, for that I go to 3660 On the Rise." Authoritatively. He arranged the reservation. We went. We arrived and placed ourselves in the hands of the professional, competent and refreshingly informal 'Z' who guided us through the menu which consists of many interesting... More

Chinese heritage mixed with Hawaiian flare has influenced the flavours we always come back fore when steak and seafood is in need. Walking in you get an immediate feeling of warmth, old hawai'i and Aloha. The restaurant has an enviable view overlooking the yacht club. Dining at sunset is a treasured time. Laid back atmosphere with our favourite the Firecracker... More

The food is great and we especially love the butterfish. All the entrees are good but that is our favorite.

If you're thinking of eating at one of the many chain restaurants in Waikiki, take a detour to nearby Kaimuki and try one of the local favorites. It is pricey, but it will be a better experience than any of the chains. Anything that comes from the ocean will be good. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is elegant... More
