Love going to Jimbo for dinner but today we were there for lunch and it was delicious. I had the Nabeyaki udon lunch combo special. A little different from my usual choice of curry nabeyaki. I did find the clear broth refreshing but did add a little pepper spice to perk it up.

I normally prefer ramen over udon but since they didn't have ramen and they specialized in udon, I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Curry Rice. ;-) Actually, it was a combi meal with hot or cold (I chose hot) udon, and choice of (free-range) chicken, beef, shrimp, or pork katsu (I chose the chicken). The udon... For my first visit i was most impressed by the service. It is a smaller place and the staff kept busy but definitely made me feel welcomed. Answered all my questions and i had a good meal. The bacon fried rice is awesome.

My favorite Japanese noodle house never fails to impress. Not your ordinary noodle house. Go for the cold udon with natto if you want something unusual and rustic. Everything is good.

I come here often, they have the best selection of udon noodle dishes that I've found on island. I see crowds lining up at Marukame for udon, but I don't know why they don't just come here instead. They serve udon and soba noodles in a variety of hot and cold manner. They also have some donburi dishes and appetizers... More

I'm a haole who has been coming here for years. The curry udon is one of the most delicious dishes I have ever had anywhere. The noodles are fresh and perfectly cooked and the broth complements them perfectly. Other dishes seem equally well prepared and the cost is inexpensive. Service is also friendly and efficient for a very busy place.

We prefer to arrive at 5PM as they open to avoid the dinner rush..... by 5:30, the place is almost filled with other diners. This is a small, out of the way place in a strip mall on King that makes fresh udon noodles daily. They cater mostly to locals. We ordered the Stir Fry Udon with Shrimp and the... More

This noodle shop is consistently good. They have an expanded menu featuring Jidori chicken with their regular entrees of hot and cold udon. They now offer many combinations too. Nabe, curry, tempura, teishoku dishes with mini udon sets. The prices range from 12-15.00. They offer lunch and dinner specials-- the basic udon meals run around $9.50. Someone in our party... More

4 of us friends stopped by for lunch as we were in town shopping nearby and looking for a place to go for lunch. My friend and I had just picked up a couple of friends returning from a trip to Arizona. They were hungry for something local and we were near this restaurant so we decided to stop in... More
