Had dinner once while staying at the New Otani hotel. Service was very slow, waiters kept apologizing but did not speed up. Absolutely no view, where are the tables displayed on the elevators posters and on web site? We did not return.

Sunset is the visual delight, but its really disappointing when it takes 55 minutes to have the beer served.

We enjoyed the chicken teriyaki on a bed of cabbage which was delicious. Wasn't so inpressed with the fish on what tasted like lime flavoured lettuce. The Service was very good and the saki taster (3 samples) was great.Overall the food was pricey but the atmosphere and service probably justified it.

The restaurant is best Japanese restaurant on Waikiki area. First of all, nice view as i attached those pictures. Good for special occasion. Second, foods is everything good. We reserved one of three lanai's for the "sunset" dinner time. It was private and nice, up on the second floor overlooking the beach with a great view of the sunset. The food was Japanese, and was interesting but not stellar. The oysters were inedible. Even the shrimp seemed a little limp. But the service was good, and there were... More

We agree - wish we had read the review before dining there. Shrimp & Vegetable Tempura consisted of 3 shrimp & 10 vegetables - $24 - not good value in our opinion. We left most of it on the plate but they did not ask why. Service & food rather ordinary. We were disappointed especially for the cost.

This location is fantastic, especially the Lanai tables (very private) outside. You can see the epic sunset and beautiful night view after that during the dinner. However, the service is really bad and so is their food. Sushi is OK. I would not order anything else there. You are definitely paying the high price for the location right in front... More

We had an amazing view from our covered table on the veranda. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was okay. Fish, shrimp and uni were fresh. My lobster didn't have much taste and the filet was served cold. The restaurant was very crowded so that could easily explain the food. Will try again!

My mother , who is the worst critic when it comes to food and who never has anything nice to say really about restaurants, couldn't stop complimenting how absolutely delicious everything was. Location: Located in the New Otani Beach hotel by Kaimana beach, with a drop dead gorgeous view of the ocean and sunset, Miyako restaurant is a small and... More
